A lovely addition to Highlands County. Friendly with a pleasant atmosphere. Slightly tropical feel to the decor but subtle and not overly thematic. The service was helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The café con leches were “perfecto”. The food was prompt and tasty with nice portions. A delicious quesito was a perfect ending to a relaxed meal. My wife and I will definitely be back.

The soft spanish music in the background was a nice touch. They don’t have too many tables so it feels intimate and inviting.

I was in Sebring visiting from Lakeland for the day. Found this little cafe/restaurant. Laid back just like the Cuban culture. Food is fresh. Coffee is strong and atmosphere is very relaxing.

I usually just get coffee and pastries but I recently got their Cuban Sandwich for lunch to go and it did not disappoint. The sandwich was perfectly prepared, the bread was amazing and it was nice and hot. The staff is super nice and very accommodating. I would highly recommend the 1/2 cuban for lunch or dinner.

I was really looking forward to having breakfast, coffee and a pastry here after reading the great reviews and a few local recommendations. It was moderately busy at best. As you walk in there is a sign warning to wait to be seated or pay a $5 “fine”. After being passed by staff multiple times, over 5 min I had to grab someone’s attention to get a seat. Once seated I waited another 10 min and no one asked what I wanted. Not even if I wanted a coffee as I was right next to the coffee and espresso machines. I’m over 6’ and 230 lbs. NOT easily missed. It was like I wasn’t even there, lol. So I left, went a few door down. It was very busy, but had a table and coffee in less than 2 min. No matter how amazing the food may be, service will always key for me. Hopefully I’m the only one that has had this experience. Will not make another attempt.

First time at Sophie’s but definitely not the last! I ordered the best Cuban sandwich with a side order of plantains. My husband ordered the shrimp special. Both meals were absolutely great. We even bought a full flan to take home (we were sooo full)! The flan did not disappoint. Also excellent! Thank you Sophie’s!

I went with my husband this past Saturday as it was our wedding anniversary. We traveled 3 hours as I had seen this on HGTV and wanted to visit. OMG was NOT disappointed. It was worth the drive. The food was excellent delicious and the restaurant felt like home cozy the atmosphere was perfect. The ladies there were so nice. Will definitely drive 3 hours again to go back. I bought home some dessert and pastries unbelievably delicious.

Sophie’s in downtown Sebring is an absolute gem. The Cuban aesthetics are vibrant, unique, and set the perfect mood from the moment you walk in. The food was authentic and full of flavor, reminding me so much of my Cuban grandmother’s cooking. Every dish tasted homemade and crafted with love. On top of that, the interior is beautifully designed, making the whole experience feel special. If you’re in Sebring, this is a must-visit spot!
