La Lunita is first of all, gorgeous inside. They have a record player, super comfy bar seats with a back, and a well lit back bar stocked with the essentials – tequila and mezcal. The bartenders made me their take on a mezcal negroni which had a little spice to it (like a slow burn, not like a jalapeno). It was so good!

For food, everything was great; this restaurant is a pescatarians dream. I ordered the tuna tartare, scallops, and fish tacos. All had complex flavors with great depth and subtle heat.

I’ll be back soon for Vino and Vinyl wine nights!

Good food and friendly service, didn’t blow my socks off but it’s a nice addition to Milwaukee ave and I’m excited to return and try different things.

I thought the entrees were well priced for the portion size, quality, and taste ($6 for a taco on a freshly made tortilla is a great deal imo).

However, the appetizers and sides were criminally expensive for what you were getting – $16 for half an avocado worth of guacamole, $16 for a cobs worth of corn, $5 for a quarter cup of black beans… I’m not one to complain about prices but that was a little ridiculous

Beautiful space, excellent food and great service. The menu is varied but I would recommend trying the salsas. We tried the macha and it was very unique. The cocktails were fun too and the tres leches was delicious. They had vegan tacos al pastor which enjoyed as well as other vg options.

My husband and I went to La Lunita earlier this month and had such an amazing meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which honestly made us order more than we originally planned—but it worked out for the best because everything we tried was delicious.

We started with the yellow fin tuna crudo, esquites, and the grilled oysters. The tuna was so fresh, and the esquites packed with flavor, I usually don’t even like oysters, but these were hands down the best I’ve ever had—the seasoning and spice set the bar so high.

For our main, we shared the bone-in New York steak with a side of broccolini. Both were cooked perfectly, and the sauces really took everything to the next level. We also enjoyed a few cocktails throughout the night, each one unique and delicious.

We finished with the Tres Leches Pastel de Mango with ube ice cream, which was surprisingly light and the perfect sweet ending to such a big meal.

La Lunita delivered on all fronts—food, drinks, service, and atmosphere. 10/10 recommend, and we’ll definitely be back soon!

When my friend and I entered the restaurant, the host did not greet us right away as she was facing the other side of the door. We told the host we were late for a reservation. The host proceeded to mention that she did a no show on the reservation and because of that we couldn’t get a table. Then she mentioned seating us by the window which we were fine with. She still kept my reservations as a no show after we mentioned we were late due to parking and that we wouldn’t mind waiting and still kept it as a no show, which mind you that selecting no show has caused my account to get suspended. Even though, I still spend a good amount of money at the restaurant.

We ordered the grilled oysters, since they were out of a couple of items already. We also got the octopus, and several other dishes. The cocktails were delicious and were presented well.

Other than that, our server was super nice and took care of us really well. Second time back here since they opened.

I had the pleasure of dining here last night with my partner and our experience was AMAZING. The food was incredibly delicious and full of authentic Mexican flavors and great portion sizes. We tried two of their delicious specialty cocktails as well as a recommended off menu drink that was phenomenal. Our server was extremely attentive & gave us some great recommendations, truly the best service we’ve received at any restaurant!

I came with a group of 5 so we could try a lot of different dishes, and everything was delicious. The tuna crudo, octopus, and NY strip were my absolute favorites, but everything was so flavorful and well balanced, you can’t go wrong. Great ambiance (sophisticated yet chill) and margaritas, too! Will definitely come again soon!

The food is vibrant, spicy, delectable with a modern, hip atmosphere (that I’m unable to enjoy to the fullest in my ripe old age of 37 years. The noise is extremely lively on a Friday night. Try an off night for a first date…). There wasn’t a dish we tried that I didn’t enjoy. The leche de tigre on the crudo is crack. Cocktails are well balanced. Mexican wines are interesting. Service is friendly. I’ll be back.

Overall, a really wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

It’s good they have specials and happy hour because the price point is pretty high. But the food is excellent quality and really beautifully done. Great space, wonderful staff.

The steak taco special was extraordinary tasty. The broccolini, guacamole, and prawns were truly so so flavorful and delightful. The only thing we didn’t like was the aguachile negro which we thought really lacked depth in flavor, especially compared to everything else we were served. It was pretty bland.

Cocktails were solid, and they have an interesting wine list as well.

I’ll definitely be back again and look forward to trying more of the menu.

The good: drinks were made well, margarita and the michoacan drink. Tacos were very good, for the price the enchiladas were small.

The mid: the oysters were left with muscle attached, so instead of grabbing the meat easily it was a little tough. They said heart shaped churros on instagram yet in person they said not available.

Our waitress was nice, but not attentive. She also wasnt very helpful when navigating the menu and left us looking for her three times, for a drink, for dessert and for the check.
