We usually love to get our thin crust Pizza King at least twice a week, but after we had more than one occasion, ran into some terrible customer service I figured it’d be necessary to help others avoid the whole terrible customer service experience that weve now dealt with, 3 times. Today my wife got the pizza home and it was slightly burnt on one side. So we take it back up there and you’d think it would be a simple fix. You know, something along the lines of, “We’re sorry about that sir. But since you are a loyal customer of ours please allow us to make it again for you!” Id say, Thank you so much! Yall are awesome!” And I’d take my fresh, non burnt pizza back home to the kiddo and everything would be ok!
Unfortunately that’s never been the case. First they tell me that we ate some if it and wont make us another one. Cause 2 bites were taking that were necessary for us to determine it was over cooked and not to our liking. Then they say they wont exchange it for a refund so we basically get robbed for our money. I ask to speak to the manager everytime and to this day I’ve still never seen her or him who knows, but long story short, lol. Pro tip when ordering pizza here. Do not pull off from the window untill you’ve opened your pizza box to see if it’s to your liking. That’s at least the lesson I learned the hard way.
Oh it gets worse. So we followed the rude young man’s instructions to return tomorrow for the pizza to be remade a day later. Upon our arrival he asks us if we have the box from the burnt pizza that we threw away yesterday, and if not he cant help us out. So he then offers us pizza in a Styrofoam Togo box that we said was gonna be stuck together and his whole additude was quite sad. You should be ashamed of yourself for the way you treated some loyal weekly customers! Just kept telling us “oh well”

I’ve realized that I’ve been coming here for over a year now and haven’t posted a review, so here it is. I genuinely love the pizzas and sometimes I can’t stop thinking about eating one when I’m hungry. I see people leaving bad reviews about this place but if you know it like I do, you know this place is amazing, the people are great and the food is delicious. I love the thin crust and I’m hoping they will soon do other variations of crusts, but for now it’s still amazing.

This spot has a drive through window where you pick up your pizza. I have never in my life had pizza that tasted this good on the 2nd day. Especially if you take it out the fridge and put it in the oven it’s like a brand new fresh pizza. Idk what kind of cheese they use but it’s different in a great way.

15 mins and $5.42 for a sloppy slice of cheese pizza and a cookie. The cookie was excellent. They might as well be a cookie shop instead of pizza. But the pizza, however, was horrible. It was like a tortilla wrap slapped with tomato sauce and mozarella. As soon as you pick up a slice, all the cheese just falls right off. It didn’t even taste like a real pizza. You can get way better mediocre pizza at the local 711 or racetrac. Customer service was horrible, too. No sit in lobby to wait on. And you’d have to ring their drive through doorbell multiple times to get service. I’d have given this place 1 star but it deserves an extra star just for the cookie.

Like others I’ve passed this place over the last decade or so and always tell myself I need to try it. Well I did. It’s the best pizza in South Irving, even better than Angelo’s. Definitely better than Cirros- who couldn’t have been more rude and insulting and has mediocre slop. Another reviewer I agree with said, and I paraphrase, the only people complaining about Pizza King are people used to chain Pizza Hut, bore of a pie, filled with tomato soup pizza. This is excellent and fresh pizza. Wish I stopped by all those years ago. Nice service too.
