Very delicious food, the bread is tasty, soft inside and crunchy outside, meat and vegetables are fresh. We enjoyed all the flavors and the staff is very friendly. No indoor seating for the winter time though, which is okay as we just ate in our vehicle.

To Me Vietnamese is the quintessential “I know a place” joint. And it lives up to the hype. If long lines are an indication of taste, then this place is scrumptious. The chicken viet sub has the right amount of sauce, with a hearty portion of chicken. Crisp vegetables were excellently incorporated into the sandwich. The salad rolls had very crisp lettuce and a well balanced sauce. The long hours and adorable lady will make me a regular customer.

I have driven by this Bánh mìi shop many times. I had some free time today so I made the decision to stop in with the family.
The food here was very affordable. A bánh mì was 9 dollars. Its something you can’t find here in Calgary anymore. The bun of the bánh mì was not super hard and crunchy which I really enjoyed. I ordered the beef and it was delightful. It was packed with a good amount of spice and flavour. I will definitely be back as this was definitely a top for me!
Additionally, I ordered the salad rolll; which was like every other sald roll I’ve had before. Not much to rave about. However, definitely check out the sub when you do drive by. It’s worth it!

This is defined as a place where you really wouldn’t expect anything good but it is pretty good. This drive thru only spot hits the mark on price, quantity and quality. The subs here (4 varieties) are all $6 and come toasted and filled with contents. They also serve vermicelli bowls here as well and I don’t doubt that they’re not good. I’ve only tried subs here and every kind. The coconut curry has a kick of spice to it and keeps the bread on the more moist level with its sauce. The pork sub comes with some melted cheese. The grilled chicken or beef are also really good options where it isn’t dry and full of flavour. The service here is quick (approx 5-6mins wait from time of ordering). There is a large parking spot beside it but you can only order as a drive thru..although haven’t tried just walking to the drive thru window only either. Highly recommend coming here. The place is a full kitchen inside and looks really orderly and clean.

Update: dec1 2024, -16 c out. Walked from hotel to TO ME vietnamese subs. Ordered again, chicken coconut sub with extra cucumber, second time I just walked up on there door at 730 pm…hungry, 2 minutes later, sub and salad rolls while one other car was ordering.. got back to hotel, sub was still toasty warm and salad rolls, the same. Hopefully you read that in a 1940s detective voice,but if not…. point is, you CAN walk up to ,TO ME vietnamese subs. It’s not just drive thru any more, I hope. And, I hope my pics reflect how huge these subs are for price. Also, realize they do have peanut sauces in case of allergies. My next sub purchase is going to be the saute beef and hopefully I can get some peanut sauce on the side to sprinkle on and use my extra chili sauce for a little heat. This place IS a hidden gem in calgary. Oh, and they had no problem customizing the order. It may be standard to charge 2$ for any extra veggies or meat. They seem really accomadating, but I would assume it would be like ordering extra meat or veggies with their noodle offerings.

Saw reviews for this little bahn mii shop and was staying in a hotel just down the street. I didn’t know if I could just walk up and order, so I knocked on the door and at first they found it weird ,but were happy to take a walk up order. I just thought of liability concerns if I ordered at the drive thru window while on foot.
My order came fast and I didn’t need to sit in the cold for long. I got the coconut chicken curry sub and they gave me separate chilli sauce to spice it up myself. Personally , I only added about half of one container to keep it mild. But this was so good. Nice coconut flavor. They do use lemon grass, and for me ,adding that little bit of chilli sauce for some heat on the back end was so good! Loaded with veggies and next time I’m going to ask for extra cucumber. Because, there definitely is going to be a next time.
I also ordered 2 orders of their spring rolls. They packaged it in a reusable bag and tied the top down so I could carry it back. Everything was still warm, bread wasn’t hard.
If your walking by the place, check it out. Wish they had a walk up window just for safety reasons. But definitely worth checking out. I’ve never had a sandwich make me smile before. The prices are very reasonable. Especially since most of the restaurants around this shop are more expensive. Very good for people on a tight budget. You may not get away with knocking on their door if the line of cars is long. I went later on a Saturday night where there were no cars ordering. Please, TO ME vietnamese subs, create a walk up window and you’ll definitely get support from the surrounding community.
