I love coming to the Davenport for a pregame, girls night out or just to chit-chat with friends. Their drinks are always delicious and reasonably priced. The vibe is great and I always have a good time. I recommend their Mariposa!

This hot goth bartender served me the best martini I have ever had in my entire life. No joke. The “Chai-lent Night” . I am OBSESSED. Even that is an understatement. As she made my drink she cracked so many jokes and made me feel welcomed. Also the guy in the back, although a crooked yet somehow charming smile, did a great job. This place is awesome. A new favorite of mine!

We really love this place. The staff are always friendly but not overbearing. The inside, patio, and bathrooms are always clean. Fun music. Drinks are good at a fairly reasonable price. A cool but welcoming atmosphere that makes this a go-to over the rest of the square. Perfect for a more mellow night out.

Had a good steak and some tunes on a Monday evening. The steak was good, the potatoes and Brussels sprouts were excellent. Was advertised as steak and jazz from 6-10, but the band seemed to set up around 7.

This is THE BAR to go to in San Marcos, TX. You know that bar down the road? Yeah, don’t go there. COME HERE INSTEAD! Atmosphere: 10/10! Drinks: 10/10 w/the best presentation! Music: 10/10 Especially the #GaysOfHays are there for Drag Brunch! Food: 10/10 I could eat me some Papas Bravas on the side of any plate you give me! BOMB! Staff: 10/10 Always accommodating, upselling, and as nice as my abuela! The Davenport will always be the one bar I go to for my beer and fun. Oh yeah! They are also dog friendly, so my Jennifur Tilly always gets to come with!

Went there a few afternoons ago and the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere. Very modern, laid back, and accepting, which I am all about. But the reason for the lowered rating is the pricing. It’s outrageously pricy and I almost left for the Golden Chick across the street. The drinks were generally terrible with 1 out of 6 being good. While I enjoyed my time there, it was 100% due to the company and nothing The Davenport had to offer.

Cocktails here are absolutely amazing!!! All double shots by default. I had the almond joy and it was the most delicious sweet martini I’ve ever had! Their Halloween special cocktail menu is super fun as well
