Started in 2017 as a single food truck in London, KY, Koi Express has since expanded to a full restaurant with a second location in Frankfort and plans to open more restaurants around the Commonwealth. Koi Express serves top quality sushi rolls and Japanese hibachi. With average lunch and dinner prices between $9 and $14, our mission is to be the best Japanese fast casual restaurant by consistently serving fast, fresh, delicious dishes with a stellar customer experience from start to finish.

Finally decided to try it, and unfortunately, we were not impressed. We both ordered the hibachi chicken teriyaki, but the chicken seemed dry and a little bland. The vegetables with it were the best part of the meal, though. They had wonderful flavor. The price wasn’t terrible whatsoever, $37 for two entrees, a dynamite roll, a drink, plus a $5 tip.
The restaurant is very clean, and the service was wonderful. The staff was very kind, which makes me hate that I didn’t enjoy the food more.

If you can’t say something nice about this place, you might be the problem. Everyone who walks in is greeted like a long lost friend. They are so thankful for thier customers and they make you feel that way. Hand down best customer service in Somerset!
There is something on the menu for everyone and the food is fresh and the sushi is just as good as any big fancy sushi establishment.

I’ve been driving by this restaurant for weeks and have wanted to give it a try. Finally decided to give it a go and was happy I did. Very friendly staff and food made to order. Only complaint was the sushi rolls were not typically what I enjoy. One was warm (and it wasn’t a deep fried roll) and the other had a barbecue type sauce on it. If I order a sushi roll I want some fresh, cold fish with deep umami flavors.

I’m no sushi aficionado but the fried rolls (Las Vegas and can’t remember the other) were absolutely delicious. They were about $10 each and worth every penny.
I ordered a side of vegetables and they were perfectly stir fried and seasoned. Some of the best I’ve ever eaten.
The place is clean and the food is made when ordered. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back!
