Just happened to walk into the place on a Monday evening. We were immediately greeted and taken to the patio seating area. We had an extraordinary server by the name of Steven. He helped us narrow down our choices. The menu has so many amazing dishes that it was difficult to decide what to settle on. We ordered garlic bread first. My husband and I ordered the Braised Beef and Gnudi dinner and the Ribeye Marsala. Steven had our drinks brought to us quickly. Our meals came in a short period of time. I was actually amazed how fast because the restaurant was getting busier by the minute. They do not skimp on portions! We both had trouble finishing our meals. So good! We are from out of state so I doubt we’ll be through this way again but if we do – I’ll try one of the Homemade pasta dishes!
On a side note: I ordered a Moscow mule and the bartender nailed it!!! Best one I’ve had in a while. My husband ordered the Italian Stallion drink and absolutely loved it!

Loved the food, cocktail, atmosphere and everything! It was perfect for a date night. The food tasted fresh and I could tell everything was made from scratch. The ciabatta with the ricotta cheese dip was to die for. I want to try every pasta on the menu!! Highly recommend this place! Make sure you make a reservation or go there earlier/later if you don’t want to wait in line.

This restaurant is a blessing to the city. Columbus has been without a real Italian restaurant for far to long. And now we have the best Italian restaurants around. This is a must try if you are visiting Columbus. Everything here is super good and authentic. The staff and Bartenders were amazing. They have a large selection of craft hand made cocktails. The chesse sticks are so good definitely try as a appetizer.

Third time enjoying Gabagool. Great every time! The salad and appetizers were both fresh and tasty. The noodles are all made in house and are always so good. Recommend everything on the menu (as we’ve tried almost all of it). The desert are also unreal, the pumpkin cheesecake was to die for. The service was top tier and the entire bar/wait staff is awesome.

Hands Down the most flavorful, savory, cooked to perfection!!! Best Salmon I’ve had at a restaurant!
It my family and I, first time visiting. The staff were super friendly, considerate and attentive. And My waiter was very knowledgeable about the dishes and made a wonderful suggestion for the Salmon.
Thank you guys for making this one of the best food experiences I’ve had in many years. No complaints about anything!

This place IS worth the money, but could be better.
The mashed potatoes were a little gluey and needed a dash more salt.This can be accomplished by either 1, not having enough cream, 2 not having the potatoes cool enough when mixing, or 3 not taking sufficient starch out of the potatoes before mixing.
The Pasta and all the sauces were great.
The salmon and the chicken were both over cooked. This can be a harder problem to solve.
The chicken appeared to be “grilled and chilled” before being breaded and reheated. You could not see any of the muscle grains in the chicken, regardless of how much it was manipulated. It could be the oven was just too low and the chicken was in too long. I doubt that. This should be made fresh.
The salmon was just on the grill too long. Salmon should have at least a slightly different color on the outside and inside.
Non-of this is insurmountable. The restaurant should invest in meat thermometers ASAP. And review the process for breaded chicken.
Tiramisu was not as good as Publix, Loft, or Iron Bank.

Wife and I started back on our tradition for our anniversary to eat at an Italian restaurant. This was our 26th anniversary. Made a reservation for 6pm, did not need one for that time on a Wednesday. By 7pm it was packed.
Wife ordered the Sangria and I a diet coke. We ordered the Mozzarella sticks which were not frozen and came with a nice sauce. Wife ordered the salmon which came with asparagus mushroom risotto. I ordered the marsala ribeye which came with crispy mushrooms on top. I love the favor of mushrooms and eat raw mushrooms, but the texture of cooked mushrooms i can’t get pass. Love the crispy mushrooms. Ribeye was plated on top of the garlic mash.
The waitress asked if we were celebrating anything, we said yes our anniversary. She said we get a choice of dessert or champagne something. We got the tiramisu, it came in a glass. It was the lightest and best tiramisu.

The greatest service you will find downtown Columbus. We had a party of 22 and they took care of us easily while serving the other guests around us. We ordered a plethora of entrees. They were all delicious.

Nothing is better than pasta night, and now we have the perfect place to gather! Gabagool exceeded our expectations with their amazing cocktails, appetizers, and entrees! The Gabagool fries with their dipping sauce were truly addicting and we couldn’t stop reaching for them until we hit an empty plate. The cheese sticks were perfection, super crispy and in a vodka sauce with a small kick of hot honey (but not real spicy). The garlic bread with whole chunks of roasted garlic on the freshest bread was truly one of the stars of the show. Moving onto our entrees, none of us had a single negative thing to say. Each of our meals were so unique in flavor, from the spicy vodka sauce, to the perfectly balanced brown butter and lemon sauce on the Angolotti, and the cheesy crab bucatini that was loaded with crab meat (pro-tip: grab a piece of the garlic bread to polish off that crab sauce at the end). All of the pasta is homemade and ours were cooked perfectly. To wrap up my review, I think the Gabagool staff deserves a lot of praise. Our waitress was incredible from start to finish (I wish I remembered her name, but that Mustache Pete was strong lol). We never once felt rushed, even on a busy Friday night. She allowed us plenty of time in between our drinks, appetizers, and meals. All while still checking in with us along with the manager who made sure to mingle with every table! This restaurant has only been open for 2 weeks and I can already see a great successful future for them ahead, we can’t wait to work our way through the entire menu!

Service and atmosphere were great. This is a place I want to come and hangout. The Caesar salad was fantastic, the fritto misto while fresh and served extremely hot was mostly vegetables and they said there was shrimp in the mix, but not of us found a shrimp. For a $18 price tag we felt a little shorted on the fried mixture when it was mostly veggies. Picky but it was still delicious. The chicken parm was lacking sauce and the spicy vodka sauce tasted of mostly vodka and tomato and was lacking the creamy aspect of a good vodka sauce. Not balanced at all. Also, The pasta absorbed all the sauce and it was very very dry. It could use more Parmesan, cream, and sauce. We all agreed about this at the table. Just some constructive criticism ! I would get the chicken parm again but not with the vodka sauce as we did not like the vodka sauce at all. The espresso martini and dirty martini were fantastic. Can’t wait to come back and try other dishes
