Good food. Great service.
That being said: I wouldn’t choose to pay to eat here. The food is good but not spectacular. It’s a small location nestled down a one way dirt road and it’s the only Mexican restaurant in a 20 mile radius so considering all that-it’s great! But not as good as other places that are IN town.

People love this place because they’ve got great food, low prices, and great service. Miss the old Sun ‘n’ Pines classic location, but come check them out. You won’t be sorry.

Stopped in from out of town for lunch yesterday. I got the parrillada fajitas it was seasoned great and was delicious. Quite pleased with it. My buddy order the flautas and it looked good too. The garden salsa bought out with the chips was good, but our waiter brought us some chilli taqueria style salsa out as well. All 3 were tasty. If im near lufkin Hudson area again I’d go out of my way to stop in for lunch again.

Breakfast menu is not as varied as other places but it is cheeaaapp and you get good portions. Breakfast tacos are 1.50 and three will usually fill a grown adult. Salsa is great but beware of the green one, it is spicy! Overall the place is a great gem for the town. Environment is laid back and the waitresses are attentive. I would recommend to anyone wanting good food at a reasonable price.

I was pleasantly surprised here. The location is near a roadside motel, so I really never considered stopping here before. However, my friend and I were out and about and decided to try somewhere different. I’m glad we did. The place is cozy, with an eclectic decor, but comfortable seating. The prices are very reasonable, with several options below $10. I ordered the beef enchilada plate, and my friend got the cheese enchilada plate. We both ordered a side of guacamole dip. The salsa is a bit different from other places, I think because they use the sweet peppers. It was good. The guacamole and food was good. They offered 2 other sauces with our meal. One looked intimidating, with a dark color and visable pepper seeds, and the other was green and a little creamy looking. Don’t be fooled! The green is HOT and the other is more smoky flavored. When we were there, it was quiet and not busy at all. We would go back.

First let me say that it is nice to have a restaurant of any type this far west of Lufkin. I hope that they have enough business to become a long lasting part of Hudson. Since Hudson really doesn’t have a center of activity outside of the school, it is only appropriate that Fiesta Mexicana is only a stone’s throw from the school. Second, the restaurant is really off the highway as in you can’t really see the building from the highway but don’t let that stop you. The parking is fine and the building looks like a normal restaurant once you are down the driveway.

The menu and execution reminds me of Casa Morales in Lufkin though I’m still sampling my way through. If you aren’t local then I’d say the menu is pretty textbook mom and pop Tex-Mex. I haven’t experienced anything yet that just knocked my socks off or something I’d say they should be known for yet. They do appear to cook their own chips and have a unique chunky salsa that I really enjoy. Entres are served with condiments of mild, medium and hot chimichurry sauces.

If you live west of Lufkin, embrace a place willing to be local to the Hudson area. Prices are reasonable and the place is very clean. My ratings are always relative to the comparable restaurants in the area.
