We stopped by Sandbaggers, a new spot in the village, on a snowy Saturday afternoon for a cocktail. This spot is unique for several reasons. First, they have some virtual golf simulators in the back so you can work on your golf game and hang with friends year round. The other thing that’s different in here is that they have 2 bars. It’s a novel idea for when it’s busy. It was pretty slow for a lazy winter afternoon. We were helped quickly had some drinks and turned in for the evening. We noticed that they partnered with Yankee Bbq for some food options. Good idea, we will try next time.

Hands down the best bar in the village. Since they opened, this place has completely raised the bar for nightlife in Hamburg. The atmosphere is welcoming, the drinks are always on point, and the staff treats you like family. Definitely recommend for a weekend hangout or a weekday happy hour!

We are currently sitting here at the bar. We ordered food which was all overcooked/burnt, but tasted ok. However, all the bartenders are either in a huddle talking or texting on their phones non stop. We sat here for fifteen minutes and they still didn’t ask if we wanted another drink or if we were ok – we had to track someone down to get our check. Definitely need more attentive staff and may never consider coming back.

Went in on a Sunday afternoon for drinks. The main bar was pretty full but we were able to grab 4 seats. There were 4 bartenders (all in their 20s) so you would think we’d get great service, but no. One of the bartenders (the tall guy) was drinking and eating with his friends the entire time and didn’t wait on any other customers which was just so strange and unprofessional. The other bartenders mostly stood around in a circle chit chatting with each other not paying attention to their customers whatsoever.
Extremely disappointed as sandbaggers is my favorite drink and not very many places in Buffalo have them. Guess I’ll just have to get them from Premier and drink at home.
This place needs either new management or new staff, or both.

Golf simulators are nice and we had fun but the food is terrible. We got nachos that were soggy, chicken fingers that were undercooked, and french fries that tasted like everything they had ever cooked with them. Pretty sure they are air frying everything rather than deep frying. Would go back for the golf but steer clear of any food.

I was at the point where I wasn’t going to go back. But I gave it another shot. I don’t know who they hired to run the kitchen….but holy crap. What an improvement. I will make this a regular stop now with the food improvements taking place.
