The orange zest chicken is juicy with a bright citrus punch, the spicy meat is super, and the fried rice is perfectly seasoned. The restaurant’s atmosphere is very nice and makes the meal even better. Overall, it’s a delicious, vibe‑filled experience!

The server recommended eggplant garlic with jasmine rice which was super delicious and flavorful. Aldo ordered jasmine Burmese milk tea ehich was perfect and not as sweet as other Asian teas.
Great service.

We were on our way back to San Francisco from Tahoe, and since we didn’t have lunch yet, we decided to stop and eat at Burma Light. I’m usually not too into Burmese food because I haven’t found any great Burmese restaurants near where I live—but this place totally changed my mind!

The food was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers all the way to dessert. Every dish surprised us with its unique and flavorful taste. The service was warm and friendly, which made the experience even better.

I highly recommend this restaurant. If you’re on your way to Sacramento or San Francisco, make a stop in Folsom and check out Burma Light. It’s definitely worth the trip!

AMAZING!!! I was so excited to see that a new Burmese place was going to open up in Folsom, and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere is wonderful. Dark colors with a modern on traditional feel. Really clean and comfortable. The staff were all on point, super polite and fast.
We decided to try the mango chicken dish and the Burmese style lamb curry with the coconut rice.
I have to admit that I’ve NEVER had anything like the mango chicken before. At first, I wasn’t sure what I thought of it. It was slightly sweet, smooth, and super unique. A few more bites, and I realized that it was actually incredible. I 10/10 recommend it. Paired with the coconut rice, and it was just… wow! The lamb curry was also fantastic. A complete 180 from the chicken which was lighter. The lamb was heartier but just as tasty. I cannot wait to come back to try more of their dishes!!!

Phenomenal service, and the food is absolutely fantastic. Always ask your server for recommendations— never pushy and always helpful. They read the room very well, food is prompt but never compromises flavor. This is my second time, and it’s been reliable! Valentine’s Day they paid attention to all the details, even leaving a rose with every couple that came in. 10/10 recommend
– gluten and vegan FRIENDLY
– spice is totally manageable
– menu is flexible, get a veggie and add a protein
– never sleep on the tea leaf salad at Burmese

I can’t believe I’ve been living so close to this place without ever having been here! I had the Burmese Iced Tea, the Minted Jalapeños Chicken, coconut rice, and the Tea Leaf Salad. Every single one made me melt with how good they were! I’m not even really a salad person and I ate every morsel of flavorful, garlicky goodness. You have the option to decide if you want the entrées mild, medium, or hot, and the medium was just perfect for me!
Service was fantastic: friendly, quick and attentive without constantly hovering, and our server was very helpful answering questions. I can’t wait to try more dishes!

Edit: I was right, less than a week later I returned with a friend! He’s a personal trainer who is gluten and dairy intolerant, so he really wasn’t used to ordering from a menu that had so many options he could eat and enjoy. He loved his shrimp and eggplant dish, along with the Burmese rice. I loved my chili basil chicken almost as much as I loved the Minted Jalapeños Chicken I had last time! I’ll be going broke at this restaurant and it’ll be worth it

I’m in town for work and never had Burmese food!
I decided to have a late dinner after reading a few stellar reviews.
Let me add to that reputation by saying this place was amazing!!!
Steven (owner)was very attentive from the start and recommended favorite dishes. I ordered fried chicken wings, samosa soup, fried rice and basil chili beef!
Everything hit and those wings were some of the best I’ve had in years. I’d definitely recommend trying them all ,but beware of your spice levels.
That soup had me , but the flavor was 100% worth the heat!
Don’t skip this spot!

WOW! It was our (me & my husbands) first time visiting Burma Light tonight and it was wonderful! Great service from the friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. We had:
1. Salt and Pepper calamari (pictured)
2. Garlic Shrimp & Eggplant (Gfs) (pictured)
3. Sesame Beef
4. Burmese Garlic Noodle with tofu

Every dish was amazing, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. They give you a decent amount of food with each dish, so we even had leftovers. Can’t wait for lunch tomorrow! It was really tough to pick what to order because every sounded so good. We will absolutely be coming back very soon!!
