Box Alarm BBQ is fast casual family run BBQ restaurant. Founded in 2012 as a private event catering company we have expanded to add a concession trailer for festivals and special events along with our brick and mortar restaurant. We will be open for an exceptional brunch on weekends to start which will feature items such as firehouse biscuits and gravy and our brisket hash amongst many other breakfast and signature smoked items. Catering is always available as well as rental space for private events up to 75 people. Be patient as we work on building our staff to allow further expansion of hours and menu.

I’m from Austin so I’m accustomed to good bbq. The brisket and wings I had were delicious and rivalled my favorite spots in Texas! It was so good! The BBQ beans and mac n cheese were also yummy. There is an array of house- made bbq sauces to choose from. I stayed away from the spicy ones, but I really enjoyed the mild sauces. Can’t recommend this place enough. I will be back!

First time trying this place and the food was amazing. It is just as good (maybe better) than some of the BBQ food we’ve had in Memphis & Nashville. Their Pit Beans were also super good – very nice smoky flavor. The owner (I think) was very friendly and informative about their food. Everyone else we spoke too was also really nice.

I have competed in bbq competitions for over 25 years, and just last weekend, judged some of the best pitmasters in the state of Michigan. New Hudson, Lyon Township, and South Lyon have an absolute gem here. I’ve tried the brisket, the smoked/fried wings, the chicken, the turkey, the chili, the smoked beans, the potato salad, and corn bread. Every item I have tried has been spot on. All of these items are cooked to a perfect tenderness and are not overly smoked. There is NOT a BBQ establishment within 50 miles of this area that can even come close to producing the quality of food that Box Alarm BBQ puts out. I am thoroughly impressed, and when I don’t have time to pull out my smoker, but want to enjoy fantastic bbq, I will be coming here.

I always test and judge places on their brisket. Went tonight and just got the $15 brisket portion to go. No sides, just brisket. It was as solid as can be. Been to Texas and smoking brisket for 30 years so I’m always skeptical of other people’s opinions. I’ll be back for the rest of the menu real soon.

The food was really good and the staff was super nice. When I went, there weren’t any waiters, you had to order and pick up your food from the counter, but maybe that’s different if you go during dinner times when it’s more busy. They have a free pool table and a view of the gun range! No alcohol is served here.
