TOMORROW!! Finnies Next Door is open all night for this exclusive event. Kicking. TOMORROW!! Finnies Next Door is open all night for this exclusive event.

South bend finnies : r/SouthBend – Reddit

I heard Madison Oyster Bar had the same problems as Brothers and also started a dress code. And a security guard at the door.

Would you expect to get a parking ticket if you park in their parking lot? Or do they not have parking? Honest question as I’ve never been there. But my car has!!

This is a bar where you can dance while a DJ plays some hits from 2014. I’ve been twice. One time I left at 11pm and this older guy literally yelled at me and said “where are you going? The party’s just getting started.” Another time I took my siblings and we drank some cheap mixed drinks out of plastic cups and made fun of this guy because he seemed like the type who would say “last night was a movie.”

Anyway. It’s a fine spot if you’re in college and want a loud music-y place to dance. Like any club, cover your drinks.

Also this is the only time I will post pictures on the internet of myself at Finnie’s. Hi mom!

I’ve been coming here for two years. The owner Rick is yes a little wild but a respectful nice guy. The security staff and bartenders are very nice people and will make sure you’re taken care of. I’ve come to learn that the main problem with this establishment is the general manager who’s name is Mary, she will deny entry based on race and status, she often screams at her staff for doing their job ( I’ve seen this on multiple occasions) it’s honestly quite embarrassing, this woman is completely unprofessional, unhinged, and I personally get second hand embarrassment because of her. This “general manager” is a joke, why treat staff and customers like this in front of other paying customers? I genuinely don’t feel bad for not coming back anymore because of this.

Do you like dancing? Do you like beer pong and pool? Do you like waiting for 10 minutes for a drink to have it spilled due to the extremely large number of people here during the weekends? Slide to finnies. If you were in college frat parties, you’ll feel right at home and know how to deal with this kind of environment. If you didn’t go to college house parties, you’ll learn to manuver your way around here. Every time I go, I have a blast. Nice staff, nice security, 2 places to order drinks, nice dance floor with pool and darts upstairs. Drinks can be pretty pricey, on top of the 10$ cover charge. Still, totally worth every dollar for the memories and euphoria experienced here.

Go to Finnies. Don’t go to Corbys.

Great place, many people who enjoy the great DJ and the drinks ad well. Dancing lounge is sufficient and the music although sometimes old it’s relevant . Har a great time and going back for more. Also Beer Bong Play is random. Why people who lost stay for more?! But love the settings! Get Better!

Expensive drinks served in cheap plastic cups, shots are served in plastic cups you’d put ketchup in at a restaurant, they charge for water (don’t know of any other bar in the area that does that), upstairs with the pool tables/air hockey is hardly ever open, security is ruder than any other establishment in town (even Brothers, and that’s saying something), and you need a student ID to get in after 11pm (even on the Saturday after thanksgiving when lots of students are out of town). Place was half empty and still got denied entry due to lack of student ID. To top it all off, they have the audacity to charge a cover to get in. They used to be my favorite spot in town years back, but doubt I’ll ever return. They want to be a high class club, but they’re far from that. Despite being located in south bend, there are still better options to spend a night out than this place.

Horrible experience. The worst I’ve ever had at any bar or club.

I came out to Finnies for a friend’s birthday. Once I came up to the entrance the guard, I believe his name was RJ, (Mixed race, freckels and wore a brown beanie, with khaki overalls)

He let me know that plain white tee shirts were not allowed. I asked “Really?” As I was unaware of this, but it isnt a big deal. The guard replies “Yes” and nods I say “Ok” and return to my car to see if I have something to wear over my shirt. I return and walk on the outside of the guard rail to ask the guard if it was OK if I wore something like a jacket or hoodie over my shirt.

As I approach, the guard is shutting me out and won’t even make eye contact as I walk over to ask.

I proceed to ask politely. He becomes very annoyed and replies, “Well you could, but you’re gonna take it off once you start getting warm in there, and the problem is my staff are TRAINED TO MAKE YOU LEAVE IF YOURE WEARING A WHITE SHIRT”

Before I could even reply to that, he then claims that I “caused a ruckus” inside. I give him a confused look, and then he says, “YEA, THOSE FRIENDS YOU JUST CALLED ARE CAUSING A RUCKUS”

I didn’t call anyone to tell them to make a ruckus whatsoever.

I proceed to tell the guard, “I didn’t call anyone, or tell anyone to make a ruckus”
He sarcastically says “Yea”, rolls his eyes, and ignores me. After that I just walked away back to my vehicle.

Finnies used to be one of my favorite spots to come out to. I missed out on my friends golden birthday. I will not be returning.
