The environment here is extremely cliquey, so if you decide to go, it’s best to keep your head down and your mouth shut. Expect all eyes on you the moment you walk in, and know that the local drama queen will likely be eavesdropping — ready to spread your private conversations around the neighborhood. If you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community, be extra cautious. This place is known to bully. One board member regularly mocks a certain bartender, and no one does anything about it. The regulars — mostly daily drinkers — take emotional responsibility for their fellow drinkers who are too cowardly to speak up, and the group dynamics are toxic. It’s a sad circle of people with little to do outside of this bar. They also proudly over-serve their customers. I’ve personally witnessed people so intoxicated they’ve fallen down stairs, then gotten into their cars and driven home — with no one stepping in to stop them. And if a retired, non-resident NFL player happens to buy drinks for all the women — and the bartender forgets to serve one woman — brace yourself for an unnecessary entitled drama show.

Just got off the phone with the bartender I assume, called in and asked if they have a slot machine, lady answered rudely “you have to be a member to go here” I replied with “yes I live here” she goes “you have to have an ID” which I replied “ I do”. The lady proceeded to hang up on me. Very rude lady, should be fired.

Our community bar/lounge is a great asset for the neighborhood. The pricing is great and they always have local sports on the TV’s. It can be a little cliquey due to the Cheers type of mentally in the bar. The barteners know almost everyone by name and that is truly nice. If you like in the neighborhood you should definitely stop by for a cocktail and some nice conversation.

The Hideout could be a really great place for our local neighborhood to relax and enjoy neighbors in an adult setting… Unfortunately, it has a small older click of 10-15 people that make anyone they deem unwelcome, feel both unwelcome and will create an altercation through verbal abuse by the bartender and the “muscle”…just steer clear. No one needs mean old people . They will all die out soon enough of old age/liver cancer! Have a blessed day
