This Japanese restaurant impressed me from the very first bite.
The miso soup was beautifully crafted, offering a distinctive and refined flavor I had never encountered before. The edamame and green salad were fresh, light, and perfectly prepared.
The fresh oysters were exceptional — delicately spicy and remarkably fresh. Both the sake toro and hamachi toro surpassed my expectations, showcasing outstanding quality and balance. The sake don was equally impressive, rich yet elegant in flavor.
A chilled Sapporo beer completed the experience, enhancing the authentic taste of Japan.
I will certainly return — this restaurant is a true gem of Japanese cuisine in San Francisco. ❤️

The service is amazing, our order was served quickly. We got tokoyaki as an appetizer, and two special sushi rolls: hamachi and lion king. These are some of the best sushi rolls I tried in the bay area. The hamachi was buttery, fatty and tasty; the grilled peppers on top was a nice touch and added flavor to each bite. The baked lion king on the other hand was so good, the cheese sauce and the tobiko perfectly matched the salmon and crab salad.

Definitely will be back in the future.

I treated myself to a solo lunch and sat at the counter close to the sushi chef. This is a local owned sushi restaurant run by a Korean couple so some items off the hot menu are Korean inspired. I felt that the menu itself is a bit pricey, so this is a low 4.

For the sashimi combo I received three slices of salmon, two hamachi, and three tuna. The cuts of sashimi were rather thick so I appreciated that. My favorite was the tuna followed by the hamachi. Perilla leaves were used for plating but I really enjoyed pairing it with the hamachi and tuna. I thought the wasabi and ginger were great quality and finished all my ginger. The goma-ae was simple and very bonito forward which I enjoyed. Lastly, the saba nigiri was okay, but perhaps I would get a different nigiri next time.

The service was okay, nothing standout. Given that I sat at the counter and alone, I expected more conversation but we didn’t have many exchanges.

We were visiting San Francisco and craving sushi. We had the Golden Gate roll (excellent, not pictured), beef udon, ramen, and spicy tuna roll. Service was polite and the food was great. If we lived in the area, we would absolutely come back!

Cute little spot in outer Richmond. They were out of saba shio (salt-grilled mackerel), and the service was pretty slow despite being the only party in the restaurant. The karaage and takoyaki came out hot and fresh.

I went here just to try the Jalapeños Bombs, I guess I should have just stopped there, but I didn’t. So I get dropped off and there is no sign anywhere except an open sign. I go inside and almost left right there, the chef was sitting in the corner no customers, 2 waitresses one sitting the other standing by register. I asked to see a menu, then went and looked at the fish in the display. As a Chef I know what to look for for bad signs of fish., it all looked fresh as I was waiting 2 couples came in so I decided to stay. Jalapeños bombs were great, the fire bomb not so much and the Bay Bridge was pretty good. Service was slow, it’s had to get her attention to order, the other waitress was a little better. Most likely won’t be back

Our favorite sushi place in the Richmond District! Food is consistently delicious. We mainly do take out but occasionally eat in. We would eat in more if the bright white lights were changed to something to envoke a more intimate experience

highly recommend going here!
Small little hole in the wall restaurant. the staff was kind and very accommodating to my food allergy to shellfish, which a lot of restaurants can’t do. I didn’t get a picture, but the jalapeño bomb was BOMB! it’s actually a decent size and quite filling! both rolls were super yummy, the garlic on the golden gate was a nice touch and added a dynamic flavor you wouldn’t typically get with sushi!
