While the quality of the food and service was good. I thought the prices were way out of line…15-20% above equivalent places. The sashimi offerings were limited…no chance to order one’s preferences…just their group selections. I was disappointed in the offerings of their bento box…most others offer a much wider selection. AND…no Hoki Guy…what kind of sushi place doesn’t offer clams of any kind?

My family and I came to this restaurant for dinner and left disappointed, service was cold and food did not taste good.
One of our orders was the chicken teriyaki, which came with a bowl of salad. I politely said “excuse me” to a server walking by and asked if they had chili salt. She looked at us but didn’t say anything, walked away, and brought it back without a word. I said “thank you,” and she still didn’t respond. At first I thought it might be a language issue, but I later saw her speaking warmly with the white people in the table next to us, which made the difference in how we were treated feel uncomfortable.
When the bill came, I left a 10% tip because we were unhappy with the service. Another server came back and asked if the amount was correct, then told me this is a “high-end” restaurant and tips are usually 20%. I explained why I tipped less. There was no apology or effort to understand what went wrong—she just walked away. Tips are optional, and if a guest tips less, it’s more appropriate to ask respectfully about their experience than to pressure them about the amount.
I won’t be returning and don’t recommend this restaurant to Asian people like us.

This place has gone down in quality. Ordered three poke bowls and the portion of fish meat was disappointing. Compared to how much fish we had in our poke bowls a year ago, the portion of meat has gone down. I spent 100 dollars including tips for three Poké bowls, and was hugely disappointed.

sushi was okay (safeway quality) but the service was passive aggressive and the server forced us (teenage girls) to tip 20% and wouldn’t let us leave without. won’t come here again.

I love their Bento Box. The Sushi is fresh and so soft compare to mani sushi places I have been to. The service is very good.

I’ve been coming here for over a decade and the quality of their nigiri and rolls has never missed. The fish is incredibly fresh (their salmon is a consistent standout) and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. Highly recommend!

The sushi was fresh and very good, but the payment experience completely ruined it for me. Our bill for four people was $388. When I went to select the tip, I entered my own amount for about 14%, but the server brought the bill back and insisted that l change it to 18% – right in front of my guests.
That is absolutely not acceptable. Tipping should be a personal choice, not something a restaurant pressures you into, especially after spending almost $400. It was embarrassing and unprofessional. I will not be going back despite the good food.

I think it’s criminal for a pokibowl to cost 30 dollars with tax and tip and only get fish and rice.. theres much better options nearby for cheaper. I think the fish quality is pretty good but to get a pokibowl consisting of just fish and rice isn’t a pokibowl, theres barely an inch of rice as well, you will not be filled up at all. If you want toppings such as mango or avocado with it you have to pay 3 dollars for each topping which you could buy an avocado next door at safeway which i did to put in it. It’s ridiculous I’ve never seen an extremely sad pokibowl especially for this price I expected more..
