Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream has been in the business of making and selling fresh ice cream since 1945. Founded in Youngstown, Ohio by Alice Handel, the company continues the sweet legacy she established from her backyard garden, using fresh ingredients, and upholding a commitment to quality. Each batch of Handel’s ice cream is made fresh daily, using Alice’s original methods and recipes. There are 48 flavors available daily and more than 140 flavors that rotate seasonally.

Came here with the family for some delicious icecream! Everything about the experience was awesome from the amount of flavors, to the service, to the portion sizing. A few of us did the four flavor selection that is “smaller” scoops and equals the size of a medium. Well their medium must be a large because the scoops alone were daunting. I love my ice cream so this experience was a huge win!

Arguably the best ice cream we’ve had mA! Definitely the best in Tucson. The 4 scoop sampler is a must especially if you are with a group, perfect size to share and try different flavors. Personally we’ve enjoyed the Buckeye and French Silk Pie, but there are also so many other great flavors! Also very kind staff!

Great ice cream shop with a lot of flavors to choose from. The ice cream is good and while it is hand dipped, it is still soft and has good flavor. The serving sizes are quite large. Even the small was a bit big.

Being from Youngstown, Ohio I’ve been to and grown up on the original Handel’s. It is with great pleasure and certainly that I can say their other locations, even across the country in AZ, are exactly the same! And home to the best ice cream you’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed.

One of the finest ice cream shops in the USA. They have an uncommon variety of ice cream. The best one so far I liked is the one in December. It’s a Christmas-time favorite called chocolate orange. I first tried this in Utah. Very recently, I was in Tucson; I saw that they had started a franchise in Tucson. I wanted to see whether they have the same taste and flavor. They do. Go get your flavors and enjoy!
Some of my favs are coffee chocolate chip, french silk pie, cotton candy, coffee, coconut pineapple, and Meri’s Joy.

I liked the ice cream and the prices were decent. They do have a line sometimes, we just missed it . I will be back to sample more flavors ☺️ Lots of parking but it’s in a busy plaza. Enjoy the cold treat

This place was the bomb! The staff was friendly, the facilities were clean, and the flavors of ice cream?? So hard to choose, they all sounded so good! I love how they have the 4 scoop sampler—a manageable way to get multiple flavors. My fave is always raspberry chocolate chunk, but I was swooning over the lemon bar and French silk. They had nice options for seating out front, and though it was a popular spot on a Friday night, the wait time turnaround wasn’t bad. Check it out for yourself!

Went to try this ice cream shop that everyone raves about. The lines are long, they do have a menu you can look at in your hand but doesn’t have all the flavors. I went to look at the flavors but everyone in line thought I was butting in line . I suggest making a better laminated flavor menu while you stand in line.
Prices are bit high for an ice cream scoop, but that’s the way the world is now.
Wish they had smaller sizing so we ended up sharing a 4 scoop sampler between 3 people. Overall, line moved pretty quick, servers were nice, ice cream was good.
