Today my family and I (6 people) had lunch at this restaurant and unfortunately I do NOT recommend it.

My parents were visiting the U.S. as tourists for a few days, and we chose Bisbee because it’s close to Tucson and very tourist-friendly. Our server was initially polite, but her attitude changed completely once she realized my parents didn’t speak English. She became rude, dismissive, and impatient when we asked for clarification about the Eggs Benedict. Her tone was harsh and clearly annoyed. We did not expect service in our language since I speak English perfectly, but we also did not expect to be treated poorly because of a language barrier with my parents. This was especially noticeable since the only person she treated well was my husband, a local, English-speaking white man.

We should have left, but we stayed and ordered.

It took 20 minutes just to get our drinks. After waiting over an hour for food, we were told there was only one cook and that it would take at least 25 more minutes—information that was never shared when we arrived. We were told we would be “the first to get our food,” which was not true. My husband noticed that the second dining area had no customers, yet we waited another 30 minutes. In total, 1 hour and 30 minutes. Several tables that arrived after us were served and left before we received our food.

To make matters worse, the “Farmers Market” Eggs Benedict did not match the description (no sun-dried tomatoes, barely any arugula). The eggs were overcooked, half of the dishes were cold, and after eating, several of us had stomach pain.

We would not return under any circumstances. It’s disappointing given the positive reviews. While the server slightly improved her attitude halfway through, basic respect should not depend if they made a mistake or if we make complaint—it should be the standard.

Very cool restaurant with a nice assortment of menu options. Both breakfast and lunch dishes were tasty and were generous portions. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Be sure to visit the restroom—love the vibe! And, if you’re looking to burn a few calories before eating, staircase 8 of the Bisbee 1000 is just outside. 🙂

Definitely a true Bisbee establishment: perfectly odd and cool. We stopped in for a quick double-espresso and talked with our server a bit about the Royale’s history. I’d love to return soon and experience their breakfasts which so many reviewers rave about. Outstanding architecture and amazing interior design. One-of-a-kind in every way.

A highlight of our trip to Bisbee! Delicious and plentiful food; we were there for breakfast. The wait staff was amazingly friendly and attentive. The architecture and decore are fun, modern, and sophisticated with a touch of whimsy. All in all a culinary experience not to be missed. Also we loved that they are pet friendly!

My husband and I came here back in April, the theater wasn’t done yet. And then came back with no plans for NYE, asked the server Joey what to do and told me they had a party going on and selling tickets in the theater. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Mike, the owner made us feel right at home and on top of it all amazing food breakfast l, lunch and dinner. My new go to spot. Service top notch.

Just gotta say 11/10 on vibes, food, drinks and service! My boyfriend and I came down to Bisbee as a little get away for our anniversary.
Brandy was on top of it! We’ve only been there twice and the second time we came in she knew exactly what we wanted to drink already. Very kind and funny person. We need more bartender/servers like Brandy!
Now don’t get me started on David… HE CAN COOK! He knew it was our anniversary and decided to make up some very delicious and special egg rolls for us. On top of that made us dessert that was to die for.
Unforgettable experience and we will
Definitely be back for more fun memories there.

Bisbee is a small town, and because of that a lot of places aren’t open really early. But thank my lucky stars ‘Bisbee Royale’ was the only spot I knew of that was open at 8am on a Saturday. The exterior looks like a mix of three attractions: a restaurant, a museum, & a movie theater. I can’t say if all three of those things are really in there, it’s just an impression. I will say that I am glad I took at chance at trying their food at a time when I was seriously hungry.

I was invited to sit wherever I wanted, so I chose a table along the wall with a big TV right above me. I was greeted kindly, and given time to order my food, which I decided would be a couple fried eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, toast, & cheesy grits. They were so good, with the hashbrowns being, as my partner put it, “The best he’s ever had!”

I personally enjoyed the patties the most, and the grits the least. The grits were made in a way that the shredded cheese was sprinkled on top of the grits instead of mixed in it, and I do not prefer that style. It was still good, just not as good as others I’ve tried. So that’s why I’m not docking points; why be super critical on one side dish when everything else was an A+?

I liked the wholesome feel of the restaurant, like everybody knew each other, and the fact that it was pet-friendly was a bonus too. A couple came in with three cute dogs, and that just made me super happy (not to mention, it WAS on my birthday too). I would come here again if I return to Bisbee.
