I scheduled a couple of pizzas to be picked up later in the day. I checked the order status about 10min before and it was already complete. I wish I had received a text or something letting me know it was done. Girl at counter didn’t give best of service, but it was a slow day so not a big deal. Pizzas themselves were great though.

FEB. 2026 REVIEW: Sadly, the Blacksburg location is NOT what is used to be. The “Large” only a 14 inch pizza, is more like a12 inch pizza at best, and the “XL” only a 16 inch pizza, is more like a 14 inch pizza at best when you subtract for the consistently Larger area of outer crust now that is about a good two inches or more, with no toppings. The crust area has gotten much larger! Also, repetitively, there is less cheese on their pizza. I used to LOVE their pizza. Nothing like it used to be though, and nothing like the pictures or commercials you see advertised. It used to be our “to go” place 🙁 They seemed to have changed too many things and are now chintzy on all their ingredients, including, even the tiny little shriveled up pepperoncini, about 1/4 the size of a regular one we happen to get each time. Please…let us know if you go back to making them like you used to! Thank you

I went in to grab my pizza, I ended up having to wait 15 minutes. Which is fine Nicholas compensated me for my time with the two liter. His team are very hard working and even though they were behind they were still nice and pleasant. Being someone in the food industry for 20 years I know that’s difficult. My hat goes off to them and I will be returning.

Ordered delivery though the app. Order confirmed via email, delivery time set for 45 minutes from the order. After 45 minutes, though, they cancelled the order with no explanation why and no notification. I had to refresh the delivery tracker on the app, and it just said the order was cancelled. But they didn’t cancel the credit card charge!

No fault with the food, the Door Dash delivery drivers are not so great and harming PJ’s rep in this town. Driver called to confirm entrance, left the pizza in the hall outside my apartment and never knocked. Pre tipped almost 50% and this is the service I get. Ditch Door Dash Papa John’s!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this location (visited 10/04/25 around 12:15 AM). I ordered a large pizza online, but they made a medium and it wasn’t ready on time, which already made me late for work. When I asked the employee (who claimed to be the manager) to confirm the size, he said “I don’t know” and then “maybe.” When I requested a refund, he refused and said he could only remake it.
The store music was blasting so loud I couldn’t hear him. When I politely asked to lower it, he got frustrated, ignored my requests, refused to give his name or supervisor info, and threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave — which he actually did. Police came, heard my side, and told me to report it to corporate.
Extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable for someone representing themselves as a manager.

Too much bbq, the chicken was hard. They used older dough so it was stretched and had bubbles and the edge lock sucked!! I’m so disappointed with how low quality that they have become!! I worked there, have great things to say about them and ALOT of bad, but I still eat it and I still expect to be served like any other customers. For the price of the pizza!! This sh*t should be made with love and fresh ingredients!! Not dough that sat out for 8 hours and has expanded. Anyways, I am sure I will be back. They’re garlic parmesan bread sticks are one of my son’s favorite things. As for the cheese pizza.. when it’s not all doughy tasting. $33 for delivery and$28? For pickup? Way to much for a few bites of each pizza. I’m so disappointed

A downright disrespectful amount of marinara for the bread sticks. A true day ruiner. This is up there with drive through forgetting to give me a straw except worse because this was intentional.
