I LOVE Peking Chef! I used to eat there daily when I worked at Wyoming Valley Mall. I recently saw the same Panda Logo I remembered and found out they were in Kingston. I drove from Tamaqua PA. to get it (an hour plus). The food was as good as I remembered, and now I take a weekly drive up to get it! It is worth the drive! The food is always hot and delicious! My favorite dishes are the Garlic Chicken extra spicy (I get 5 stars), Ginger Chicken, extra spicy, and the Pineapple Chicken Fried rice! Don’t forget to grab a homemade Vegetable Roll while you are there! The man and lady working there always take good care of me. I’m glad after all these years I can eat my favorite food again! I will come back again and again because the food is authentic, delicious, and a great value! Great Job Peking Chef!!!

My stepson has autism and epilepsy. He is highly functioning and seizure free for several years. He tried to place his order on the phone and the person taking the order began to make fun of him and admonished him for being a poor reader. He upset him so badly now we are doing damage control. Needless to say, the order wasn’t placed. Figured I’d write a poor review but from what I see on here, the guy is a literal creep. I highly recommend an inspection or investigation to see what actually goes on here. I’d like to see them shut down.

Food isn’t bad but the owner or whoever works the front is absolutely horrible. He is very rude to everyone. A group of minorities came in and he yelled to them that he doesn’t have “fried chicken” and that he doesn’t allow seating after 1pm… Which 3 tables were full of white people. I would avoid this place

I called to ask what was in the ingredients of a certain sauce because I have allergies & needed to know before I order and have an allergy attack and I got attitude back from the person on the phone. They then said they can’t tell me because it’s a secret & then hung up on me and refused to answer my call after that. What? lol. No business from me lol. It’s not that hard to tell someone the ingredients of a sauce because of allergies they have, but all good, if you don’t want more business, I won’t give it to you.

My husband and I have been to this location multiple times. The person that works the front desk is the most arrogant and rude human being I’ve ever encountered. It’s almost as if he hates Americans. I will not return even though the food is delicious because of how disrespectful this worker is. It is a bother to him when you walk through the door – I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

I grew up going to Peking Chef and I have only had good experiences. Everyone in both locations have been very kind and I also had an option of dark meat or white meat chicken and that really makes a difference. The prices are only higher because “you get what you pay for” you are not buying a Kia for its “luxury” are you? Doubtful. I always go by that saying “you get what you pay for. It’s more expensive because the food is fresh and with the prices these days everything is going to be more expensive. We like to go to the location to dine in sometimes in Dallas but I love getting veggie fried rice and veggie egg rolls for lunch and it can range around 12.99 for the pint and a delicious big egg roll.

Here at Peking chef they take pride in almost decent food, but sure come out swinging with attitude! If you want to enjoy your mid-food at a restaurant you’ll most likely get horrible service at, come down to Peking chef! Ordered steamed pork dumplings, salt and pepper squid, spicy soup, Peking chef mei fun and beef on a stick. No doubt in my mind the steamed dumplings were either precooked/old, beef sticks were pretty good very juicy but also chewy, soup was pretty good but it’s more soup base than veggie’s, could probably take the stock home and make my own lol, squid tastes like FIRE! Legit fire (probably added liquid smoke, in this case too much), not trying to describe spicy here. Pork in the mei fun is dry, all in all don’t waste your money! Unless you want to.

Great place for authentic Chinese food. I’ve ordered multiple items from the menu and I’ve never been disappointed. I usually go here for takeout but sometimes I visit to stay and eat. The staff are friendly and helpful with going over the menu with you and helping you choose a dish. It’s always bright and clean and welcoming there. The seating area is rather small and could use a little more work on the furniture. But even though it’s a small dining area, the positive outweighs a small dining area with outdated furniture. Hope you enjoy this place as my family does.!

We got an order To-Go. Soup was room temperature, crispy noodles that go on top were very stale and they charged me an extra 35 cents for this unbelievably tiny little package. My girlfriend said the broccoli tasted “chemically” although I couldn’t taste anything. The guy that greeted us wasn’t very welcoming I felt like I was just annoying him the whole time while I was trying to be pleasant. Was just disappointed. We will stick to Kingza.

We came in at 6:30. The signage on the restaurant said they were open until 9. He told us we needed to be out by 7. We expressed some confusion with the door signage and it was explained dining closed at 7 with the cold weather and take out was open until 9 and say that it was fine. The waiter repeatedly slammed things on the table took food away immediately, reminded us we needed to be gone and kept the lights low. Then another couple came in to sit down for dining and no mention was made about dining closing soon. He turned up the lighting and was completely different to them. I am not sure what was offensive about us that we were treated that way especially when we agreed to what he requested with just a confused question.
I will say about a year ago I went there for lunch with a friend and had no issues and the food was great. Maybe the waiter was having a bad day.
