Food and service were excellent.
Food was delicious and portion size was very to large.
Our server was prompt and took very good care of us.
Atmosphere is dark and dated, but didn’t really distract or negatively impact my positive experience.

We have several Mexican food options in the area, but I like El Tapatios menu best. My dish was steak, chicken, rice, beans, and sautéed onions; it was very flavorful, filling, and delicious! She gotca chicken salad taco bowl. Our friends got the meal for two that I described as a “Mexican Pu Pu platter” because it had a bit of everything, which they loved and still took some home. It was on Special on a Tuesday night; a great deal! Our server was friendly and on top of things. Good job!

Second time in a row this place has been GREAT. It’s been here forever but the location sometimes makes you forget about it. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Empanadas and accompanying sauces were excellent. Order some of their homemade matcha/salsa when you ask for hot sauce!!

We had a great dinner here last Friday. Service was quick and friendly and we got a table outside. Their jalapeño poppers were lightly fried and crispy, some of the best I’ve ever had. I also had their Ixtapa Fajita which had shrimp, scallops, chicken, and pineapple chunk filling served in half a pineapple–it was delicious and different from your typical fajita filling–really great.
The cocktail selection and preparation were also very good.

This is my favorite Mexican in the area. The Birria Tacos I had tonight were amazing. I also love the shrimp quesadilla. My kids (2 and 4) also love the kids meal – grilled chicken with rice or fries. One of the few times they actually eat the food we order them. If you go ask for Christina she is literally the best / kindest waitress around!

The place is in a strip mall and, although it doesn’t look very big from the outside, it’s spacious inside with a bar area. It was busy around lunchtime on a Saturday, but we got a table without a wait, which was the shortest wait.
We had to wait patiently for the server to take our order and serve the customary chips and salsa. We noticed only two servers taking orders, seating people, and serving food across 8 or 9 different tables, plus a handful of bar patrons.
I ordered the Jalapeño Revenge Margarita, which was really well-made and spicy. For the main course, we ordered Enchilada Tapatías, Sizzling Chicken and Shrimp, and a Fried Chicken Chimichanga. We were anticipating long wait times, but the food came out quickly. However, instead of the Chimichanga, we received Arroz Con Pollo. The server admitted his mistake and quickly replaced it with the Chimichanga. He did not charge us for the mix-up, and we reciprocated by offering a generous tip in cash.
The food was delicious, much better than we expected. The staff was friendly but stretched too thin. The ambiance was decent, and the service definitely has room for improvement. We highly recommend this place if you have patience or can trade it off for good food and margaritas.

Went for lunch today and sat outside which was very nice. Flowers were beautiful and gave a nice atmosphere. I had the taco bowl with ground beef. It was HORRIBLE. I couldn’t come close to eat it after I got through the lettuce and tomatoes. You could hardly tell it was hamburger. It was mush and had no flavor. No resemblance to ground beef. I very nicely brought it to the waiters attention but no apology or comment! Do they not know the customer’s satisfaction should be paramount? The other 3 in our party had street tacos and burritos which were all enjoyed.

Our go-to spot over 10 years now!! Its actually the place my love took me the 1st day we hung out. We stopped here to eat and rode around on the harley. We’ve had family members birthdays here, and lots of take out for lazy nights I’m not up to cooking. We also introducedthis restaurant to our ( at the time) new neighbors, who love it just as much as us!. We live in Hollis, so its easily accessible on the way back into town.

Good food. Watch that they don’t overcharge you. I purchased the chicken fajita that was during the 3:00-6:00 special times. I arrived at 3:30. Was supposed to be $12.75. Was charged normal price. When I brought it up, server said there wasn’t a special, even though sign at door said there was. Might ask before to make sure.
