An absolutely delightful Italian restaurant in vibrant Capitol Hill! They make their own hash stretched pasta. The ambience is wonderful, service is very warm and excellent, and the food is absolutely delicious. A definite must-try if you haven’t been!

Tavolata was the first restaurant I have tried since moving here, and all I can think about is when I will go back! It has a great ambiance, and the bartender gave me great menu suggestions. The manager was incredibly hospitable and took the time to visit with me which was the highlight of my dinner! You can tell that he is dedicated to giving guests a great experience. Their espresso martini and Tiramisu is a must, best I have ever had!

Loved the ambiance of this place! The food was amazing and the crafted beverages were such a treat! I had one of the seasonal offerings for a cocktail and I was astounded by the creativity. I am always open to try something new, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. It’s also so cool to have a few NA options, including cocktails! I know of a few people that would greatly appreciate having choices!

If you are looking for a fun way to spend an evening, look no further! Whether it’s to have a full course meal or to have a drink and dessert, (the Panna cotta is still living rent free in my brain) you’re sure to have a lovely time! Excited to go back and try another dish! Shout out to the staff for the lovely service!

The server was so nice. She gave us two scoops of awesome vanilla ice cream on house with our tiramisu because we came to celebrate two people’s birthdays. We also ordered carbonara and pappardelle.

OMG stopped in here since we were in the neighborhood. Sat at the bar, cutest vibes. We got two expertly crafted drinks! I ordered one of their tequila drinks with Mezcal substituted, and it was delicious.

We also ordered the meatball appetizer and the Olive Oil Cake. The meatballs were so good. The sauce was perfectly garliced, and it was topped with a dollop of mozzarella- everything was so good!

The Olive Oil Cake was divine. One bite with every element on the plate will take you through a miraculous dessert journey that is sure to be emotional.

We are looking forward to coming back for their home made pasta!

Everything we had was delicious and worth the hike up the hill. For 4 of us we ordered 3 pasta dishes and ate family style. It was plenty of food. Don’t skip cacio de Pepe or the tiramisu!

Went for happy hour and got the Cacio E Pepe, which was $17 and asked to add sausage and albeit I didn’t ask how much it was but it ended up being a nine dollar up charge to $26. The poor bartender had a lot of people at the bar and was making so many drinks that the service was quite poor, but I don’t fault her at all . Unfortunately, the quality Has changed over the last few years and the prices have gone up exponentially on top of mandatory service charges

Tavolàta Capitol Hill offers a great dining experience with delicious fresh pasta, cooked perfectly with rich, flavorful sauces.

The staff is friendly and helpful, especially when suggesting vegan options.

There are zero-alcohol options available on the menu, which is a nice touch.

Overall, a great spot for high-quality pasta and a well-rounded dining experience!

Really happy stumbled upon this place. To start off with- service and food was excellent!

We were a party of 3. We all ordered food and shared it! Portions are decent however little expensive from other restaurants I have been to that serve similar food.

Their gnocchi by far is the best I have ever had in my life thus far! So different and unique.

Things I wouldn’t order is the red marble potatoes- not much flavor and the potatoes were semi raw. Burrata although was delicious, very expensive for the portion size.

We were looking forward to dining here as the pictures & reviews seemed pretty good.
The pappardelle pasta was good, the Carbonara was a huge miss. It was drowned in sauce and the sauce didn’t contain enough Parmesan, almost as if too much pasta water was added possibly. The other issue with the Carbonara is that half the noodles were cooked perfectly and half were way too al dente(hard to the tooth).

Tiramisu, it was an unfortunate miss as well. This is a dessert we try at every Italian establishment that offers one. This one had crunchy balls on top of it and was one layer of lady fingers with mascarpone piped on top…

As per the service charge of 20% gratuity.
If you charge 20% gratuity your service better be great not just okay. Okay would deserve 12-15%.

Honest review and hope this helps the establishment work on these missed marks.
