Bowlba Cafe in Raleigh was an awesome stop for dinner on our trip north of Charlotte. We visited on a Thursday evening and it wasn’t busy at all.

We got the Cashew Nut Chicken—spicy chicken with cashews on a bed of rice—it tasted wonderful without being overly spicy. We also got the Basil Rice dish with chicken-we could really taste the basil coming through in the flavorful chicken. Both dishes were 10/10.

The staff were kind and polite. Restroom was clean too. Parking is available outside.

I highly recommend visiting here to try their dishes ranging from rice to noodle to buns.

Ate at the restaurant but it had more of a take out vibe. That said, i had great service. Note that if you eat in, there are no alcohol options. As a vegetarian I frequent Thai restaurants so I was surprised that their menu didn’t feature veggie or tofu options. I ordered my dish with tofu instead of chicken even though that wasn’t technically an option. They happily accommodated and the tofu was excellent. The rice was perfect.

This is TRULY a hidden gem! Everything we’ve tried here has been incredible—seriously some of the best Thai food around, and I’ve lived in Thailand. The pad Thai is next-level and honestly rivals what I’ve had there. And the massaman curry? My absolute favorite… so rich, flavorful, and comforting.

The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, they made a special chili for me and topped off our water frequently. The drinks are also worth calling out—super authentic and not overly sweet like most places. You can really tell they put love and care into everything they serve.

Can’t recommend this place enough!

This is my first time eating authentic Ramen at age 43. I am a huge anime fan (Naruto Uzumaki/ DragonBall Z/Super)I said what the heck. I absolutely loved and enjoyed every moment. Very smooth and not to heavy. Definitely making this my spot! Thanks Bowlba Cafe! 5 star ✨️

I haven’t had Yum Gai Zaap (Spicy Thai Crispy Chicken Salad) since I went to Thailand, and I gotta say, this bowl brings back great memories! Would highly recommend the place – and this dish to everyone! The taste was authentic and the serving size was plenty!

You’d be hard pressed to find a good Thai place that serves more than just Pad Thai, Tom Yum and Curry… Bowlba definitely delivers on all that and more

So I ordered to go – I got the Chashu Meshi and the Pho (Level 3). Overall, I was really pleased with the amount of food and the taste – if I order the Pho again I probably will order a level 2 – level 3 is still delicious and edible but I would say that it did numb my lips a little bit so for anyone out there unsure or they want something to clear the sinuses- get this. I wish I had ordered something veggy or vegetarian related to go with the Chashu Meshi (the pork and rice- really tasted like pork fried rice but with bigger pieces of pork) it was also delicious, but fatty and so if you order this in the restaurant you may want to pair this with some veggies. I really enjoyed my meal and want to go back to try more of the menu. Oh and my coffee tea was also very good.

Great massaman curry; rich and sweet and delicious. Never had it with avocado before—that was a nice touch. Service was friendly and prompt, and the shiba decor is very cute. A really nice spot for a delicious lunch!

Came in at 8:20p full disclosure. But my ramen was not good. Did not come with egg or seaweed like I’ve seen in other pictures. Very forgettable taste and portion size for the price. Drunken noodles tastes like spaghetti, and not just because it’s served with spaghetti noodles instead of flat noodles. Water also tastes a bit plastic/metallic. Nice friendly staff but food falls well short of par.

Its a bubble tea shop. But I didn’t know and went to get dinner. Portions are ridiculously small. Price is super expensive and food taste bad. Reminds me of reheat convenience store food back in Asia. Their ramen costed $17 yet had no toppings. I could make something like that at home and it would taste better. Used really cheap prok meat for Chashu. Don’t go here for food. Its overpriced and taste bad.

My friend Ricardo recommended we come to Bowlba cafe and I’m glad we tried it. The food was delicious, friendly staff and the decor was super cute. The brown sugar milk tea is a must!
