Birria Boys

This place is located in a Shell gas station which I had a hard time locating. It’s not the cleanest place and doesn’t have many seats. Now let’s talk about the tacos, they were good but the tortilla was falling apart every time you hold it. I feel that that tacos shells could have been harder to withstand the beef that’s inside of it. Don’t get me wrong, the meat was absolutely delicious, but it was very messy and falling apart. I would definitely ask if they could fry your shell a little longer so it can hold the meat longer. They drenched the meat in the sauce which is excellent, but tortilla just breaks and crumbles and it’s hard to hold and it falls apart while you’re eating. The customer service was amazing the people were very nice. I did have to ask for the tables to be clean because they were very dirty. But if you’re looking for some good tasty meet tacos and this doesn’t bother you then I would definitely stop by. The food was delicious!

This little gem was recommended to me by a customer. He insisted that I had to try the birria tacos. So being a taco lover how could I not. I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady who took my order of, 2 birria and 2 steak Quesa tacos. They are inside the Shell gas station but have a few small tables, so I sat down to wait on my food. Didn’t have to wait long. Opened the box up and it looked amazing great presentation. They also put a grilled jalapeño, lime wedges and salsa with the tacos. The tortillas were light and crispy. Everything was hot and fresh. Took my first bite and almost had to get up and dance a jig. These are top notch Tacos!!

Really yummy food. Great prices. Just wish there was more seating. I got their quesabirria tacos. And they were large. Good amount of meat. Their taco packs are a great deal. 3 quesa tacos, drink and consomé for $15.

Inside the gas station. Very little seating. Food was a solid 3 out of 5 basic flavor nothing crazy but solid Mexican food nice size shrimp and reasonable prices.. I got he function pack 20$ for 2 tacos and a burrito… I would go back if I was in the area..

I’d come back to try other items on the menu. I ordered a birria super burrito. Well seasoned but the meat was very, very dry. It was a very meat heavy burrito. Inside of a shell. came for a late lunch, waited 12 to 15 minutes. Limited seating. Friendly staff.

The crazy kids

I picked this placed based on the 4.4 ⭐️ rating, but was sadly disappointed with how flavorless the food was. Customer service was good, restaurant was located inside of a gas station which was weird. Birria was bland and consume didn’t have much flavor. I ordered 1 birria taco and 1 carne asada taco. The presentation was nice but I feel like they put all that on the taco to mask the flavorless meat, carne asada had a lot of fat in it. Overall I would not eat here again and sad that I spent 40$ here.

Came right when they opened. Great service. Awesome food. A little bit greasy, but did not mind it. The flavor is there. They did not skimp out on meat at all.

Usually a good experience but not today. Food marked ready at 1653. Told by female cashier it wasn’t even started yet. Go back in at 1710 just to be asked by same female cashier if I had a ticket. Went back to vehicle, showed order on cell phone for her to say she’s never seen them text when food is ready.

It’s a craptastic location, so you know it’s good. The #1 is the way to go, every time. I’ve taken a few friends here and it’s quite a long drive for us so they’re always skeptical. As soon as they take a bite, they just say “oh, this is why. I get it.” I wish they opened another location somewhere near Folsom so I didn’t have to drive so far (from Pollock Pines), but it’s still worth the trip. The staff is always super nice, but because it is inside of a gas station, you can’t complain about they’re only being a few tables. I guess they do what they can. No matter what, totally worth the trip.

Today I tried the grill cheese and got my favorite shrimp quesadilla! The owner is cool and I enjoy chatting with him. He said the grill cheese with shrimp and Birria would be life changing! Good eats!
