Alongside the regular options it also serves fusion food like zaatar and peri peri uttapam for the adventure foodie..
Indoor seating is nice…in winters u can sit outdoors and enjoy your meal with JLT lake views.
It opens at 8 a.m throughout the week including weekends…
Service and staff attitude is good too.
Highly recommend for south indian food
However I went for lunch with one of my Turkish colleagues who likes South Indian food and the Business Lunch comprising of Coriander leaves (Malli) rice, Sambar rice (with Shallots, drumstick and other veggies), Curd rice with lovely toppings (some lumps of rice in that doesn’t take away the smoothness of the curd rice on your palette) with the tasty Appalam and beetroot curry with bread halwa and some picked to go with this was yummy really. Added to this was the very very soft Tawa Chappathi with Kurma). For all of this and a super good ambience and comfortable car parking on Cluster I (though paid) for just AED18 per person is a true value for money. They have a cup of masala buttermilk as well alongside.
This prompted me to visit the place the very next day, a weekend all the way from Bur Dubai with family for lunch was even more satisfying. They don’t have Business Lunch on weekends and understandably so as well. We had indulged in a South Indian Thali with Chappathi, Kurma, Sambar, Rasam, Curry, buttermilk, fried curd chillies and all of this again for a throw away price. The ambience is soothing. The Management can look into the Wash area which is too cramped. Had seen service comments, but the guys who served us on both occasions, Thirumalai Kumar from Tirunelveli and Venkat from Chennai were much faster and had a pleasing demeanor compared to what was written in the comments. I feel their behaviour is a reflection of ours. These guys stand all day and tips we give goes a long way to support their needs so that they can support their families back home. Please spare a thought for them before we think bad and encourage people to generously tip not only in this restaurant but otherwise as well, as this doesn’t impact our wallets as much as it could benefit these guys. Overall a great experience.
Ordered quite a few dishes and loved every one of them. The staff were very good and all suggestions by them were spot on.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating (only until start of summer I suppose).
Definitely a place to check out and to me it’s a place I will now frequent.
Even north Indian/mumbai food tasted really good. Chaat platter, Kaapigato slapped.
The packing was amazing, 5 stars for the packing.
Ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Vada Dipped in Sambhar.
The best thing to see was they packed the dosa in a long box, didn’t folded the dosa.
The taste of Sambhar was amazing
We didn’t try the North Indian or Chinese items here. The service was to the point and great.
The view of waterfront was an icing on the cake.
One of the highlights of our meal was the coffee, which was simply excellent—rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. The restaurant’s atmosphere was top-notch, creating a welcoming and comfortable dining environment.
Overall, Iyers Premium Veg Restaurant is a great place for authentic South Indian food. While there was a slight letdown with the vada, the rest of the meal and the ambiance made up for it. Would definitely recommend it, especially for dosa lovers and coffee enthusiasts!
