We live in Decatur Michigan and we love subway in Mattawan Michigan. We travel 34 miles round trip to purchase the subs ETC. Great service and prices and sandwiches are loaded. Decatur Michigan where we live has subway but nothing like Mattawan subs! Highly recommend it!!! Thank you.

Website says they close at 10 pm I arrived at 8:50 and they tell me they are closed. Very disappointed, change your websites/signs store hours so customers are not inconvenienced.

I get the same sandwich everytime and everytime it’s always a mess and I have to reassemble it or put it on new bread. It’s so irritating that you can’t make a clean sandwich. Do better

They never have anything right here. Last time they couldn’t accept a 10 dollar bill from me for me orange juice cuz they didn’t have change. Today was my 2nd n last time coming here n I love subway. But today again they only accepted exact change or card n all I had was a 20 n my total was 14 bucks n some change n he said he didn’t have change. I said well just give yourself a tip with the change. Cuz they had already made my sandwich so yea. It seems like they should also tell the customers about them not having change when the customer walks n cuz some people don’t read the signs. The thing is if they didn’t have change how is he gonna get his tip out from me at the end of the night? I could have gotten more cookies,bit I didn’t I was being genuine. But yea this has happened each time ive been here n I haven’t been here since may so it must always go on. Lol

No complaints about the workers. I did not buy anything because every sub on the menu was $2-$3 more than all of the other subways. Subway is convenient, not high end. I don’t need anything that bad.

This is one of the best subway locations I have been to in the Kalamazoo/portage/mattawan area due to the kind and hardworking staff. I wish I had her name, but she is fantastic and wanted to give her credit for being so awesome!

The prices here (and ultimately everywhere) have gone a little nuts. I wanted a 6 inch chicken and bacon sub. Because I wanted the strips it had to be rang separately from the bacon. 9.00 dollars for a six inch? That’s ridiculous. I also ordered a pepperoni pizza. These used to be maybe 5 dollars. 7.50 now and toppings are extra…
They don’t have the shredded mozzarella anymore as well.
Also, everytime I order, I ask for a little bit of sauce or even go as far as to ask for one line.. EVERYTIME its drowned with sauce. I am polite and deal with it, but I don’t understand how hard it is to make one line of sauce..
The employees seem to have nice attitudes.
All in all I ordered a six inch, one six inch meal and a pizza. 25.00 for that little food is not ideal.
The bathroom appears to need a paint job as well. It was run down with peeling paint.

Ordered ahead, showed up later than my estimated time, restraunt was empty except for 1 customer ahead of me. They hadn’t even started my sub with my order in for over 20 mins.
They also tried to tell the customer in front of me that he had his own order wrong, when they forgot toppings. They eventually re-read his order and corrected it but this is the constant experience at this subway for the past 12 months.
I’m no longer going to be a customer here. I hope this location closes or gets bought by an owner that actually cares again.
Sometimes the employees barely speak English and are listening to music in earbuds at the same time, mumbling.
And my food, the Baja chipotle sauce was non-existent on my sub, and the little bit the woman did put on my sub, made sure to get it on the outside of the bread instead of inside.

We ordered two online orders and picked them up and drove back home 10 minutes away. Not a single thing was made correctly. Examples to list a few are as follows. Pizza not cut at all, no lettuce on two subs, one sub was so messy a fork would have had to be made, not a single one was toasted as it clearly states on the order. My son and I returned to the location and informed them they need to make these orders again but, correct this time. They argued from the beginning from the beginning toasted all the way to no lettuce. Anyway, the rudely remade our order and forgot lettuce again so I mentioned it. He threw some in a bowl. I requested cookies for my inconvenience of having to come from Lawton. His reply was maybe you should go to Subway in Lawton. I told him there isn’t one there. He argued the point that Lawton has a Subway! I told him to drive to Lawton and find a Subway. He told me well I don’t need to because I don’t live there. His attitude this whole time was horrible. He along with his coworker was laughing by now which did upset me. I asked for the managers name so I could call tomorrow and he refused to give it to me. He would not give our receipts back either. Luckily we made these orders online for records. This is uncalled for and hopefully someone will call me back to discuss it with me.
To make two entire orders work is bad but, the attitude received when we came back was very poor and should be addressed. If the manager was there I am sure the handling would have been totally differently.
