The Gas Lighter is one of the hidden gems, in plain view, of Concord. I grew up in Manchester, and there were a few authentic Greek restaurants that were amazing! One day in a search for Avgolemono soup I came across the Gas Lighter. I went in and had lunch. The Spanakopita was fresh and robust in flavor. Usually, “spinach pie” is either soupy or dry, and the phylo dough is either soggy or thick. The Spanakopita at the Gas Lighter is perfect! Phylo is light and fluffy, and the spinach, onion, and feta mixture is moist and delicious! The Avgolemono soup is as good as I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this restaurant and if I lived nearby, I’d go every day!

Lived in Concord 20 years now and this is our first time there. I wanted a gyro and the wife a sandwich. The lamb gyro was hot, fresh, great taste and large enough to fill me up. The fries were hot and crispy and a good sized portion. The sandwich was good and again a good size portion. The pricing was a bit high but with costs in the industry going up really can’t complain so. We will for sure return. Oh, the balaclava was a perfect sweet ending.
