Went to hear for my dad’s birthday dinner. It was my first time there. I had the Chicken Milanese with a side order of Mac and Cheese. The chicken was delicious. It was crispy and cooked very well. The Mac and cheese was okay. While I know some like Mac and cheese that’s made with a cheese sauce but I like it baked with a nice crispy top. The Banana and Peanut Butter Cake was okay too. The ice cream was def the best part. The place itself was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly but not very attentive. Water glasses stayed empty until dessert.

The food was ok. The atmosphere is for older people like 50+. My husband and I went here on a Tuesday and it was filled with seniors. It’s a nice location. Drinks were good. Don’t have high hopes for the food. Poutine was good but that was it for appetizers.

Both time the waitress was kind of rude, we felt ignored after being seated and rushed while eating on a slow Saturday night.
The first time, food was delectable starting from appetizers to dessert but not sure what happened the second time around. Their appetizers (we tried the crab cakes, Brussel sprouts, short rib tacos) were decent and burger of the week is a good option to go with. The Apple bourbon bread pudding was delicious the first time but the second time around it tasted a bit stale and cold.
They have an extensive wine menu and I like their specialty cocktails. All items on their menu are reasonably priced.
We are just hesitant to return to Permissions given the poor service we experienced both times.

I consider this to be one of my very favorite eating spots in the Syracuse area. The dining area, with its huge fireplace, or the patio overlooking the golf course is conducive to a great dining experience. I’ve never had a bad dish there in my many visits, and the carrot cake is a must (it’s big enough to share or save for later).

I have come here several times for lunch and just experienced their brunch. Everything is always spot on and delicious! The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is sophisticated casual inside and a beautiful golf course view outside with plenty of seating. I would highly recommend as a date night out or a spot for brunch with friends.

I got the Braised Short Rib Benedict. Although it was good, I think it fell a little below my expectations. Maybe I had too high of an expectation due to the many positive reviews. Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying it was bad—it was good, but I think it was a little overpriced.
Vibe
I personally think the vibe is the best part of this place. They have a lot of seating, including outdoor seats. Considering the environment, I think it is worth the price.
Overall, I enjoyed it and am willing to come back and try other items on the menu with my family.

Great food, great service, great environment! Came into the state/town to visit family. Looked up gluten-free options for my wife and came across Persimmons. We decided to give it a shot and the experience couldn’t have been better. Charlie was a ROCKSTAR, food was delicious, and atmosphere was excellent.
