Tucked in the heart of Monrovia, Madres Brunch is a bright and inviting spot offering a great selection of brunch favorites, specialty coffees, and even champagne flights — perfect for a leisurely weekend meal. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, making it a lovely place to start the day.

We tried the Steak and Eggs with potatoes, which came well-seasoned, though the beef was a bit on the chewy side for my taste — still, it’s worth a try for those who enjoy a hearty plate. The Madres Chilaquiles were the highlight of the visit. I asked for the salsa on the side, which turned out perfect, letting all the flavors shine. The dish was flavorful and satisfying, though I wished there were a few more chips and a touch more birria — but overall, it was delicious.

With ample parking in the back, friendly service, and plenty of local charm, Madres Brunch is a great addition to Monrovia’s dining scene. Whether you’re craving a comforting brunch, a great cup of coffee, or a bubbly start to your day, this local gem is well worth a visit

My avocado toast tasted as amazing as it look!! Such a cool and fun place to be for brunch. Well put together and great aesthetic. The horchata latte tasted good but they didn’t make it look like the pics lol.

Tried Madres for the first time today in Monrovia. The pancakes were delicious and the serving size will feed at least 3 people. The hasbrowns were tasty. I look forward to more brunch meals here. Don’t forget to try their wide assortment of Lattes. Perhaps some music to would be good to give a more lively vibe.

Madres Brunch has finally opened in Old Town so of course we had to try it asap and had an excellent first experience! All of our food was fantastic- delightful twists on old favorites – the lattes were flawless, service highly attentive and welcoming, and such fun, hip brunch vibes. It’s pricey but the quality is there and we’ll definitely be back.

For our brunch feast we tried the pastor omelette, their eggs Benedict, and couldn’t resist the churro French toast. We also tried the horchata latte and pistachio latte. I was especially impressed by how beautifully everything was plated and presented – definitely a feast for the eyes as well as the belly – even the lattes!

The pork and pineapple in the hubby’s pastor omelette was grilled to perfection with the most supple texture and excellent complementary flavors. The refried beans on the plate were some of the smoothest and most flavorful I’ve ever had – delicious and would get again.

My eggs Benedict was the star of the show for me – such a fresh take on a classic fave. The eggs were perfectly poached with a velvety, runny yolk. They were delicately perched on top of some of the BEST muffins I’ve ever had – soft with an unexpected crust of some sort of butter or light cheese on top and none of that bitter aftertaste you get with the store bought English muffins. And it’s topped with the most delightful cilantro- forward cream sauce – absolutely loved it and will return for this item specifically. Highly recommend!

The churro French toast was also lovely! They use the thickest slices of fluffy brioche swirled with cinnamon and packed with flavor – topped with fried churro pieces and delectable sweetened condensed milk and whip cream – it’s heavy and the portions are massive so we had to take most of it home. But it held up surprisingly well as our dessert the next day – it was still delicious even after microwaving!

Our lattes were no less impressive – both decorative, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The pistachio was excellent and will be my go-to when we return.

Their wall art is lively and so beautifully done – perfect for the vibrant LA brunch scene and an excellent addition to Old Town. They also have a virtual DJ spinning energetic tunes while you eat – and the volume isn’t obnoxious- it’s still easy to carry on the convo.

Prices are high imo but totally supported by the quality – service was attentive and so friendly – we look forward to our next visit! And it’s an excellent location down a quiet side street next to one of the public parking lots. Welcome to Monrovia!

Not from the area and wanted to have some tasty breakfast. This place has great reviews so naturally I was like “let’s give it a try!”

Service was great and they had a friendly staff. I wish I had positive things to say about the food but best way I can describe it is, the food lacks love, care, and attention to detail( very bland). Honestly, I was bummed, sad even. I also ordered the absolute absolute worst michelada flight I’ve ever had in my entire life. One of the choices was a lime michelada of sorts and was the worst thing I’ve tried. It was literally bottles lime juice with rock salts. I immediately spat it out. Do not go for the drinks. Maybe the food is better depending on the cook? Idk. Definitely not a place I’d visit again.

My wife and I visited this place for the first time yesterday, and we were really excited to try it. We love exploring different restaurants across LA and were looking forward to the experience.
When we arrived, we were told there would be about an hour wait, which seemed reasonable since the restaurant was packed. However, after waiting nearly two hours without being seated, we decided to leave. What made it even more frustrating was noticing that several groups who arrived well after us were seated before we were.
To make matters worse, we didn’t receive a call until two and a half hours later—long after we had already left. The entire situation felt disorganized and unfair. It honestly seemed like the kind of place where you have to be a regular to receive decent service.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won’t be returning. Very disappointing.

The food is always great. I received a drink and it wasn’t prepared right. I didn’t drink it but was billed for it anyway. Terrible customer service. I will not be returning to this location. This location is very small and seating is uncomfortable. The music was very loud and the atmosphere was just not it.
I recommend the Rancho location.

Beautiful Art Work. Did not like any of the items we tried. From the look around, people were also leaving food behind. Good service just their menu needs work. Food tasted bland.
