Atmosphere was ok, service was great. The food was ick. 12 of us all ordered foOd. The Gnocci i ordered was soggy and covered in what appeared to taste like tomato soup. The salad one ordered with balsamic had no flavor, the garlic bread is $1 for a small piece. The marsala was thin rubber chicken. And fettuccine was like a soggy soup. The dinner was 75 for a gnocci and salad , coke, drip coffe. The only thing good was service.

Quaint and quiet place right off the Scottsdale Canal Path for Italian cuisine. Hidden gem. Slightly sophisticated easy to understand menu with upscale choices. Elegant atmosphere yet casual dress is ok. Eat a little or eat a lot. Not a place to come for a spaghetti dinner for the family. Bring the family, but dress them up a little and tour Italy right off the menu. Menu is set up in courses, but you aren’t expected to order off the menu top to bottom. Very delicious and a change from what a majority of us think is Italian food. Must try. Full bar and wine choices galore. Saporito!

Like a kitchen nightmare episode. Cold sauce, yucky meat, powdered mashed “potatoes” and cold noodles. The reviews are for the OLD location and OBVIOUSLY a different chef. This is the worst food I’ve ever had in Scottsdale at an actual restaurant. I’ll never go back. Plus, it’s very expensive cafeteria style food with no atmosphere. $60 for two of the worst entrees I’ve ever had.

Made a reservation for Valentine’s Day. No host up front despite there being like 10 people waiting. Finally get sat and the dude didn’t even ask if we had a reservation. Sat waiting for like 30 minutes and no one showed up to take our order so we left. Absolutely pissed made me look like an idiot in front of my date. If you are reading this, never, ever go here. Writing this with pure hatred in my heart.

We walked in early, and they sat us right away.
David was our server. My wife and I shared calamari (lightly breaded), Caesar salad (great with the anchovies), and shrimp fettuccine Alfredo.
All were delicious. We’ll be back.

I’ve been eating at La Locanda since the early 2000s. They have had wonderful representations of restaurants throughout the city. Unfortunately this is absolutely not one. I have the chicken piccata which was served with drab Walmart tasting red sauce on rigatoni. Chicken piccata with rigatoni on the same plate with red sauce. And some zucchini. I was so underwhelmed and I was so disappointed because I’ve always sent so many people here living in the valley working in the service industry I’ve sent so many visitors to PHX to this restaurant because it used to actually be really ridiculously delicious.

This was most authentic tasting Italian I’ve had in years. Bravo to chef! I had the chicken parm and my husband the veal parm – requested only parm cheese with no mozzarella. The we’re happy to oblige. I will most definitely be a frequent diner when in Scottsdale.
