For years we’ve visited the 1587 to enjoy a creative and we’ll prepared dinner. The service has always been good and views of the harbor relaxing. The growing popularity of the restaurant has led the noise level to increase, so a quiet dinner cannot always be expected.

Beautiful Inn and Resturant. Mary at the front desk is so gracious and kind. Holding the door open welcoming us and saying goodbye. Mary is wonderful.
Dined at the resturant for lunch. Ordered Espresso Martini (not a very strong espresso) it was okay, the strawberry Gillette was delicate, the show stopper on the drinks El.Diablo – highly recommend. See photos
Watermelon Salad-Wow! Our taste buds were dancing. Highly recommend! The poached shrimp auguachile fell short, The lobster roll delicious! Set back not much lobster see photo. I would ask for extra lobster or charge a little more and add more lobster.
Will he back again and continue to taste.more of the menu.

Always have enjoyed 1587. Actually 1st time back after ownership change, snd happy to day that the restaurant still continues to provide a special touch. Service was excellent, friendly and helpful. Food was very tasty and good portions. Good selections of house drinks. Wines and local beer.

We had a lovely meal here after traveling most of the day. We were tired and simply expecting to eat and go to our room. What we had instead was a delicious dinner with a personable waitstaff and a charming atmosphere. My husband was happy to see that Cider was available (his favorite). I had the Ribeye and was very pleased with the preparation. Rare is often difficult for less experienced chefs to prepare but that was not the case here. The steak was prepared perfectly and was tender and flavorful. Others ordered the Duck and the Shrimp and Grits. Everyone was very pleased with the flavor and presentation of their meals. We finished with the apple cobbler for dessert but we had to share it because no one had room left for more than a bite or two.
I would always make reservations (it is a small restaurant) and plan to take your time enjoying the experience.

Nice restaurant with a great view and plenty of space both indoors and out.
Drinks were good & the Roanoke Burger was delicious and cooked exactly to the temperature asked.
The fries / potato wedges were dusted in old bay and came out piping hot!

The best food I have ever eaten in my life! The service, food, ambiance, and view ⛴️everything was perfect. We had six different appetizers and five entrées, and every single one was flawless… absolutely D E L I C I O U S. Although I loved them all, my favorite appetizer was the lobster mac & cheese, and for the entrée, I especially enjoyed the catch of the day, which, when we went, was drum.

Was very excited to eat here to compare this steak house to those in Arizona. Not impressed at all! Arizona steak houses are far superior and give more food for the price I was charged too. There was such a disconnect between our waiter and his associate especially when it came to celebrating 2 birthdays the desert never came like i saw others receiving. I felt that we were not high-powered enough to pay attention to once his “regulars” sat down behind us. To charge $24 for a baked potato the size of an overgrown peanut is appalling & embarrassing too! I will be sticking to my Scottsdale Steak houses only! I’m not impressed with all the hype it receives. The music was loud and overbearing to enjoy our dinner

I had an absolute incredible experience sitting at the bar at 1587! Caleb, the bartender makes a phenomenal drink, and every one of the staff was so kind. I had the espresso martini (made with ingredients from a local coffee shop) and some sides as a light meal. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere of the restaurant is so peaceful and nice, I would love to come for a date-night sit down meal!!

We were there for New Years Eve Dinner . The food was excellent and the service was great as well. I would definitely dine there again. Beautiful atmosphere overlooking the water. Very pleased.
