Me and my daughter went to Dmikes for lunch, we got sat right away. Our hostess was super friendly and even asked my 8 year old daughter if she would like a booth or table, which was super cute. Our server was friendly, I ordered the brisket Mac and cheese and my daughter had the kids cheese pizza. Both of our meals were phenomenal! My captain coke was room temperature even with ice in it, but other than that I will definitely eat @ Dmikes again!

It wasn’t a busy day. Got there around 4 pm. Food came out quickly; however my chicken dummies were cold. Took awhile to get servers attention to send them back. When I got them back, they were still cold. My sister had the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine with garlic toast. Sent back the toast because it smelled old. Got a new oder and same thing. Not as good as people say.

I haven’t been in the new D Mike’s location until today, and I was really impressed by the new digs! I enjoyed the smothered burrito, it was excellent! Very friendly courteous wait staff. Great job D Mike’s, we will be back again.

Solid experience; good service, food and beverage presentations were well done. Prices were on the higher-end and they charge 3.99% on top for credit card purchases.

Came here New Years Eve Mid-Day to spend a gift card. The place is upbeat, & modern design. Really nice looking place for a smaller city. Upon walking in, we were immediately greeted with a smiling & polite hostess. Once we sat, however, is when the speed of service lacked. At 2 p.m., the place was not busy by all means & it took approximately 15 minutes before we got a server to our table. It took almost that much time to then get the drinks, too. Which was kind of a bummer. We placed our order & the food delivery was really quick. So, kudos to that! Food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! Even with the kind of slow start to our dining experience, the food made up for it. We ordered a Brisket Burger, Beer Cheese Burger & a Sugar Cookie Martini. My husband said the Beer Cheese Burger was the best restaurant burger he had eaten in some time. Perfectly cooked & the beer cheese was savory & thick. We will definitely be coming back.

From the moment we walked in, D Mike’s Resort and Bar made a strong impression. The space is spotless with fun, welcoming decor. We were greeted and seated immediately, and our server, Mady, was at our table right away to take our drink orders.

I kicked things off with the Irish Apple Old Fashioned—a standout cocktail with bold apple flavor and a dried apple garnish that added a nice touch. My wife tried the Premier Whiskey Sour, which was equally fantastic.

As food road-trippers who seek out poutine wherever we go, D Mike’s version ranks in our top 2. Their take features crispy fries, a rich house gravy, melty cheese curds, and tender pulled pork. Absolutely spot-on in flavor and texture.

We also tried the boneless wings with spicy peach sauce. The sauce had a perfect balance—sweet at first with a spicy finish—and the wings had a great crunch.

For the main dish, we shared the Bacon Beer Cheeseburger—bacon, pepper jack, jalapeños, and a generous pour of house-made beer cheese soup over the tots. The burger patty was perfectly seasoned, and though I’m usually not a jalapeño fan, they really elevated the flavor without overwhelming heat.

Out of curiosity, I asked for a side of their creamy dill mustard sauce (normally paired with another burger), and it ended up being a personal favorite—especially good with tots.

The only downside: the tots and onion rings weren’t as crispy as expected. The flavor was good, but the texture missed the mark slightly.

The highlight of the experience? Mady, our server. She was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the food, and made us feel like valued guests. We also had a great chat with Tom, the GM, who clearly has a deep passion for food and hospitality.

If you’re in or near Alexandria, do yourself a favor and visit D Mike’s. It’s a must-try spot with top-notch food and even better people.

The newly opened D Mike’s is ON-POINT and DIALED-IN! New owners Kellie and Mike are ALL-IN. With their recently acquired FIVE STAR General Manager Tom Amsden this team is bursting with; experience, quality, and consistency. D Mike’s has everything you’d want in food, drink, and atmosphere. They create SUNDAY specials that rival any brunch in town(SEE PICS for breakfast burger-hamburger, cheddar cheese, bacon, tator tots, egg, fresh hollandaise sauce). They do weekend specials that range from; phenomenal PRIME RIB (my fav), to BARRAMUNDI FISH (I had to Google it. It’s like tilapia but way better. With a white wine Beurre Blanc sauce that Seth Gonzales, one of their premier recruited kitchen staff prepares special). All of the usual suspects are in the menu as well. You can’t beat the wings, and I know wings! The walleye is my GO-TO though, freshly battered to order, “When in Minnesota.” They have FIFTEEN DIFFERENT BEERS AND CIDERS ON TAP. They have happy hour specials, and make thee most refreshing CRAFT COCKTAILS you can imagine. In fact, the bar manager Phillip Goellner is so dedicated to quality he makes ALL of his simple syrup in house. When you brew this all together you get a recipe for a great time, with a great feeling. You really can’t go wrong at D Mike’s, they’re mantra says it all: Legacy Inspired & Community Infused

Not being local to Alexandria, we chose D Mike’s Resort Bar and Grill due to the menu having decent options. Their website gives off a nice sit down restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, things in the foyer were extremely cramped. It was hard to tell where the line was or who was even in line. After being greeted by the host, we were seated pretty quickly, the decor and vibe of the restaurant is really nice.

After our server greeted us, she quickly got us our drinks, after that she made us feel like an afterthought. Drinks weren’t refilled until we had almost finished our meals, we were never asked how the food was, the server seemed to just disappear. I’ve been a server so I try my absolute hardest to be extra patient, understanding and kind. But the service was just lacking.

The food was disappointing. I got the Brisket Sandwich, it was a joke. It was mostly bacon but hardly any brisket. And I mean hardly any, I opened the sandwich to look because sometimes, things fall off in sandwiches. The brisket was tiny shreds of meat. You’d think a brisket sandwich for almost $20, would have some nice slices on it. Nope! My daughter had a burrito and my husband a burger, both were very dry, even with the burrito smothered in salsa and sour cream. The tater tots weren’t anything special, partially lukewarm. Don’t waste your money for mediocre service and dry expensive food.

I had a Reuben and it was outstanding. I was wearing my Desert Storm cap and the waitress said I was getting 10% off my meal for being a Veteran. Extremely Impressed by that. My Mom had the fries and chicken fingers, those were tasty. My brother had the frajitas (huge platter) with all the fixin’s and he really enjoyed that. We sat in the back and I was loved the food and service.
