I have lived across the street from here and never tried it until a friend of mine wanted some crabs. We went around 3pm. It was empty but it was good for us since we were hungry and didnt have to wait. Service was quick and the ladies were nice and accommodating. When our boils arrived I was definitely pleased. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Sauce was on point and crabs were a good size. Price was what I expected for a seafood boil so I didnt think much of it. 120.00 for two people was okay for me.

Y’all have to be more careful. I ordered Catfish last night from Uber Eats along with a ginger ale. The fish appeared ok but when I ate it it was mushy inside with a metallic taste. I have been having diarrhea all night and it’s 7:47am now and I’m still going back and forth to the toilet. If I get any sicker that store will be closed. If I crap toxic smelling liquid one more time I’m making some calls from the toilet Unacceptable…the amount of toilet paper I’m using behind a $15 platter

OMG,Y’all, get over there before it’s a hour wait for this scrumptious cuisine! My Aunt and I went there yesterday. We dined in and ordered the combo with snow crab, mussels, & shrimp. It comes with potatoes & corn. You can also add sausages, etc. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We also ordered the shrimp fried rice. They don’t cook the rice hard, but it was so fresh and their shrimp are big & juicy. The staff were welcoming and professional. I would give it more stars if I could. Natalie was our waitress and she was the bomb dot com!!! We look forward to going back very soon.

Made an online order and the restaurant gave me the wrong order. I called to inform the “restaurant” and the front desk lady gave me mad attitude and made every insensible excuse as to why my order was wrong (they have me crawfish rather than the New Zealand Mussels) or never existed in their store… PLEASE FIRE THE LADY as she will drive customers away…next time, I’m taking my money to OHOT or Moy Fong where customer service exists. Y’all just lost some loyal customers.

I ate here by myself at like 3pm in the afternoon. Chill restaurant, friendly staff and great portions. A lb bag of snow crab was 3 good sized clusters, broccoli add on was about 5-6 large pieces and it wasn’t over cooked, half a lb of shrimp was about 10-12 pieces and they were clean!
Definitely better than Hook and Reel up the street in my opinion!

After browsing the menu, I decided to go for a half pound of Dungeness crab and a flounder basket. The Dungeness crab arrived with a side of butter and garlic sauce, along with a potato and an ear of corn. While I appreciated the generous portion, I found the crab a bit dry, suggesting it may have been sitting a while before my order. The shell itself could have used a thorough cleaning, as I noticed some dirt that detracted from the overall enjoyment—especially when you want to savor every bit of that flavorful sauce.
The corn looked appealing, but unfortunately, it lacked sweetness and had a starchy flavor that didn’t quite hit the mark. I opted not to touch the potato since I was focused on the fries that came with the flounder basket. The basket itself was solid; the flounder was tasty but could have benefitted from an extra 4-5 minutes in the fryer for a crispier texture. The fries were hot and delicious—pretty standard but satisfying.
On the bright side, the service was outstanding. My waitress was attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including refills on my drink.
Overall, my meal at Ruby’s was acceptable, but I would approach the shellfish items with caution in the future given the cleanliness issues I encountered. If the Dungeness crab had been buried in that delicious garlic butter sauce, it might have masked some of the dryness, but the uncleaned shells were a definite downside. I would consider returning, but with a careful selection of my order!
