It feels like they’re running their own unique marathon where the finish line is a sugar coma. I started with a Caesar salad that was genuinely delicious, but it arrived in that classic, confusing modern style where the salad treats the main course like a conjoined twin instead of a polite opening act—seriously, can we bring back the prehistoric concept of an appetizer? For the main event, I tackled the chicken and ribs combo; the chicken was a total win, but the ribs were essentially drowning in a shallow grave of syrupy, overpowering sauce. When you’re paying premium prices for quality meat, you shouldn’t have to play detective just to find the actual flavor of the ribs under a mountain of liquid sugar. The atmosphere is top-tier and the place looks great, but the service was a bit of a ghost town experience, leaving me waiting far too long between rounds for a restaurant that was virtually empty. Overall, it’s a great spot with a lot of potential, but the kitchen needs to dial back the sauce-to-meat ratio before I develop a cavity from a rack of ribs.

I’m still raving about The Oak Room! We visited multiple times for brunch and dinner, and each experience was flawless. The food was incredible, with something for everyone, and the service was top-notch. What really impressed me was the management’s hands-on approach – Deryn, the GM, was visible and working alongside the team, even during busy dinner hours. Our server, Hannah, was absolutely fantastic. Prompt, delightful, and attentive – she made our experience even more special. We’ll definitely be back, and I know my friends and family will make The Oak Room their go-to spot for dinner, lunch, and brunch. Highly recommend!

My husband and I went to the Oakroom this weekend for date night since so many hype it up and it wasn’t bad but wasn’t a good experience either.
We were greeted by the manager i believe. He was kind and attentive the whole time we were there to everyone who was there. The restaurant was clean as well. When we walked in and sat down I could hear the female manager talking to the cooks and her waitress who was training.(she did a fantastic job btw)
We watched her walk in and out while calling them names, saying “try again, don’t be lazy, you did terrible and you are awful” to quote a few things we heard her say. She was being incredibly rude to them. She made fun of the new waitress behind her back while she was standing at the bar as well. Mind you the waitress was in the room and since there weren’t very many people inside you could hear every conversation. We also heard her complain about a couple with a baby who didn’t make a peep the entire time we were there.
My husband and I both got burgers, the normal one was good but the patty kept falling apart and the chicken one was good also but had some strange components to it. I did not enjoy the sunflower seeds in it especially since it was supposed to be just coleslaw. The salad lacked flavor but the fries were crispy on the outside and soft inside.
If we go back, we will order out but I don’t think it is worth sitting inside the restaurant next time. At least when she is not there. She was awful to everyone, staff and customers alike and I highly warn those who go to. Avoid her.

Had a fabulous experience during our recent visit. Tre, our server, provided a phenomenal service despite still training. He consistently checked in on us and asked us if anything else is needed.Both food and drinks were great too. Definitely will come back 10/10 overall.

Food has been of consistently great quality since the place was opened, with some rotations in the menu keeping things fresh. Both dinner and brunch offerings have been delicious and inticing. Service is professional and attentive. Decor sets the place up as an attractive location for date nights, special family dinners, or even business meals. The dining room was relatively quiet, less than a quarter of the seating taken. Dispite this, our server not only took a very long time to come to our table, items were forgotten, drinks not punched in, and overall he seemed very distracted with something else.
Unfortunately the table near us had a similar issue, and though it was a single lady at the table she did have to send her food back twice due to it being incorrect.
Overall, the food is good, but our last few visits the service just isnt what it used to be.

I have recently tried the chicken Alfredo pasta and I was totally disappointed. Being visited first time, I had high expectations due to good reviews but was not good in my case. The pasta felt undercooked and the Alfredo sauce was more like watered down version of the Alfredo sauce. The service was average as well as I had to ask for water. The atmosphere was great to say the least. Overall a below average experience.

went back to back days. for a brunch and a dinner. the food was absolutely phenomenal. servers also gave a very involved attitude. great timings on check ins, made sure everything was good and to our liking. Also manager i think? her name was Deryn, was there both days and was the sweetest. Double checking servers were doing well, double checking our food items and drinks were too our liking. Amazing service. Amazing food. Will 100% be back purely off that attention to detail and genuine care that the customer is enjoying their experience.

We visited the Oakroom Grill this evening & had the best experience. Great atmosphere, very welcoming. Amazing menu and amazing service from Don 🙂 not too expensive. We ordered an Appy, burgers, fish & chips & even stayed for dessert which is rare for us. When you’re in PG don’t forget this place!
