The young girl was friendly at first. Then I watched her put ham on my foot long sandwich and she only gave me 6 pieces. I kindly said “isn’t there supposed to be 12 pieces of ham on a foot long?” She responded with “oh some of them are messed up” and added 2 more pieces. I dropped it.

She added what I asked for to my sandwiches but became silent. Then added a 1/4 bottle of mayo to one of the sandwiches.

I won’t go back here. $17 for a footlong with not the correct amount of meat and tasted like nothing but mayo after I scrapped half of it off. And a six inch steak sandwich. No meals.

It’s been a long time since I’ve worked at subway, but I’d love to show her how it’s done.

Photos show all the mayo and only 4 pieces of ham on half the sandwich to show I only had 4 on each half.

I was also the ONLY customer in there. At 5:50pm.

I DoorDashed a meatball sub and got bread and cheese, NO MEATBALLS!!!! I called and they said they tried to call me, but I got no call. Then they said I could COME IN and get a new sandwich! What’s the point of Door Dash – so I don’t have to go in! They lost a good customer because of this. They will probably remove this comment too!

Used to be a great Subway, but a few months ago (or more?) it changed hands, and boy did it go downhill fast!! The first time I was in there after the new management, a whole crowd of what seemed to be family or friends of the owners came in and just started helping themselves to the soda machine, then lounging around and taking up many of the few seats that customers usually use. The next 2 or 3 times I was there, the ice in the soda machine wasn’t working, so the soda wasn’t very cold. The next time (2 days ago) that I was there, NO fountain drinks were available – only bottled drinks (which they conveniently fail to show the price of). Besides that, the coffee maker has been inoperable since then, and the only condiment in packets is mustard. The used to have light mayo, which I used. Also, the last time I was there, I ordered a chicken & avocado sandwich to go. Got home, and – yep – NO AVOCADO!!! At all!!

This is what happens when bad owners come in and just run the place into the ground, taking all the profits and not putting a penny back into the business. Too bad. It used to be nice. Really wish some decent, reputable owners would come in and buy it out. If not, it will be closed before too long. I think the only thing keeping it alive at this point is past reputation.

People like to complain about this Subway but I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and never once I have not had a good experience. The food is excellent and the customer service has always been above and beyond. Thank you.

Thankful there is a Subway in Waseca! Typically, when I visit, the facility is clean, staff is helpful and order is accurate. 🙂

Genuinely good experience. I don’t know what some of the other reviews are on about, but it’s clear to me these employees are hard working, responsible and respectful. All health codes followed. The only issue I noticed was actually a customer being rude and making a somewhat racist comment. The employees took it in stride and continued serving them.

Basically, this is the only place in this town that’s really worth going to.

It was track and field day for the intermediate school in town. I ordered online knowing it would be busy. There were only 2 people working. I waited about 10 minutes and keep checking the online pickup area, but never saw my order. Then they announced they had no more bread, and that the manager wouldn’t answer the phone. Then, we went through the tickets for online orders, and realized someone else must have grabbed my order. So they offered a refund…but I had a child waiting for a sandwich at track and field day. Very poor planning on the management part.

I’m a former Subway employee, so I understand the pressures of the job and typically give staff the benefit of the doubt. However, my recent experience at the Waseca, MN location on 9/6/2025 around 5:15 PM was disappointing enough that I feel compelled to leave this review.

I was greeted kindly by the team member on the meat station, but the person handling the vegetables barely acknowledged me and showed little customer engagement. While mistakes happen, when I politely corrected an error (banana peppers were added instead of pickles), I was met with resistance and dismissiveness. The employee insisted I was wrong—even though I brought a written list to avoid confusion—and muttered under his breath while removing the topping. That kind of attitude is unacceptable in customer service.

I was also overcharged for a regular chicken teriyaki sub (charged as an All-Star), and when I got home—20 minutes away—I discovered that one sub was missing entirely, and another was incorrect. We had to drive back to the store to get it fixed. While the issue was eventually resolved, the situation caused unnecessary frustration, especially since one of the missing subs was for my daughter.

This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue at this location. Between the lack of attention to detail, poor customer service, and disregard for company standards (like proper hygiene and uniform policy), I can no longer recommend this Subway. I truly hope management steps in to retrain staff and refocus on providing the quality service that customers—and the brand—deserve.

I tried calling the subway and the lady that answered the phone was being very rude and snippy with me on the phone. She was sighing when I was trying to tell her what I wanted. I was polite and very nice but she was rude and snippy. Then when we went there to pick it up the guy was saying that we were being an asshole because we didn’t understand why they didn’t make the sandwich. Also we asked for the manager’s number and corporates number. But they didn’t want to give it to us. They also said that we have to pay for a sandwich that was never made. Unbelievably the worst service I have ever had at any food service place.
