I calmly explained that I would throw it away and order food to sit down and eat. Instead of handling this like a professional, she began raising her voice, talking over me, and arguing. There was no attempt to de-escalate, no basic courtesy, and zero customer service.
The restaurant was also uncomfortably cold, and there was no welcoming greeting when we walked in. The entire interaction felt hostile rather than hospitable.
We ultimately left because we didn’t feel respected or welcome. This restaurant lost three customers and significant business over something that could have been resolved in ten seconds with simple politeness.
If you are truly the owner, this is not how you treat paying customers. You are doing the opposite of what a successful business owner does and we have never felt this kind of horrible customer service ever before.
Until I ate here.
I am now completely obsessed. I literally dream about the Pad See Ew I had here.
The first time I tried it here, I ate everything on my plate. That’s rare for me.
The portions are generous. I left super full and super happy.
Service is amazing too!
The place was freezing, there was no welcome, and the interaction felt confrontational from the first second. We left before ordering because we weren’t about to pay for disrespect.
If this is how the owner treats customers, this restaurant won’t last long.
First of all, what kind of restaurant doesn’t have a bathroom available for customers? That alone was shocking. Secondly, after reading other reviews and hearing feedback from a nearby Thai restaurant because we went to a different restaurant after being treated poorly by the egoistic owner, it’s clear this owner has a consistent attitude problem and does not treat customers with respect.
A small miscommunication turned into a huge issue because the owner immediately started getting triggered and behaving aggressively instead of calmly resolving the situation. I told the owner that if we were not treated with respect, we would simply choose another restaurant to dine at. Somehow, she took that as a threat rather than a reasonable decision any customer is allowed to make.
This place seriously needs to fix its customer service. If the owner cannot treat customers with basic respect and professionalism, then this restaurant should not be operating at all.
Response to your comment: i had no issue with you not being able to modify the meal. It was understood. The issue is you hung up while I was speaking mid sentence and no, you did not call back. I was a repeating customer here and never write reviews but you don’t hang up on customers
