This is a delightful place with country charm and good eats. I had the chicken, dirty rice, fruit and corn bread that were plate licking fantastic. My partner’s cabbage was also delicious. The blackeyed peas and porkchops were the highlight of his choices. The fruit was perfect if you want go back to your childhood remembering canned fruit was the best thing ever. For good southern cooking look no further than this little county corner in Opelousas, Louisiana.

We was traveling through and found this place online we stopped and the service was friendly and inviting. The Food was so amazing. Better than any chain restaurant, I had the hen stew and potatoe salad with corn bread. And I could have ate till I made myself sick is was so amazing. The peach cobbler was out of this world and I will for sure stop again when we travel back through.

Got the hen stew and the meatballs, both served with rice and the best brown gravy, light with just a hint of heat. The peach cobbler was the best I’ve ever had, the texture and flavor was perfect.
