There’s a huge variety of rolls on the menu, and everything we tried was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Each roll tasted well thought out, balanced, and made with care. I was there with a group of nine people, which is always a good test, and everyone at the table agreed that the food was fantastic. From a food standpoint, there were zero complaints across the board.
The dumplings were really good and came out hot and flavorful, and the edamame was cooked perfectly and lightly seasoned. Even with such a large group, once the orders were in, the food came out quickly and consistently, which was impressive. The service at the very beginning was a bit slow, likely due to the size of our party, but the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu.
Another nice perk is that Fuji is BYOB, so you can bring your own beer, wine, or sake if you want to enjoy drinks with your meal. While I didn’t sit at the sushi counter this time, they do have seating where you can watch the chefs prepare the rolls right in front of you, which I definitely want to try on my next visit.
The restaurant itself is a bit hidden off the street, but it’s absolutely worth finding. Overall, Fuji is a must-try for sushi lovers. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be coming back again.
But the hostess was kind enough to assist us right away. We waited only for 12 minutes up until the time we were seated.
The menu offers a perfect balance of traditional Japanese dishes and innovative creations.
Their sushi is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, with each roll being a work of art. We started with the tuna dumpling and we continued by ordering 8 different rolls. The attention to detail in presentation and taste is outstanding.
The staff is warm and attentive.
Whether you’re here for a casual dinner, a special celebration, or just craving authentic Japanese cuisine, Fuji never disappoints. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a great dining experience!
Sushi. My favorite is the ebi which is the sweet shrimp sashimi with deep fried shrimp head. We also got the grilled squid which was amazing. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food came out quick and was reasonably priced.
If you are around the area and craving for sushi definitely come check this place out. They also have a parking lot in the back of the building I would definitely be back.
I ordered sashimi and was brought sushi instead. When I pointed out the mistake, the server offered to take it back and simply remove the rice herself. I declined and tried to do it myself, only to discover the fish was dry, tough, and clearly not fresh and hard to deconstruct, and I shouldn’t have to. I complained again and was told, rudely, that this was what I had ordered. It was not. And I sent it back.
The staff was dismissive, blamed me for their error, and showed zero interest in making it right.
To top it off, they charged me for the incorrect, poor-quality dish. Terrible service, questionable freshness, and an overall unprofessional experience. We won’t be back. This was also my birthday dinner, very disappointed in how they behaved. First and last time coming here.
We started with the Kinoko soba soup. 3 Kinds of mushrooms in a delicious dashi broth with soba noodles that were cooked perfectly. We also got the Ebi shumai. The shrimp was fresh and delicious. The shumai was packed with flavor and had a nice texture. Really light and refreshing soup.
For entrees we got the J&J roll along with the Dragon roll. The jalapeños in the J&J added a nice kick that was blended nicely with the wasabi mayo. The dragon roll tobiko had a pop of umami and rich texture with the Avocado. The fish within both rolls were fresh.
We decided to finish the meal with white tuna sushi. The fish was fresh with a silky mouth feel. None of the sushi here had too much rice which is a great sign. Will be back again to try their other dishes.
Pros: Good service, decent ambience, some variety in the menu (not many sushi places serve ankimo/monkfish liver, which was quite tasty)
Cons: It feels like the sushi chef is not very experienced. The sushi itself was not good quality, not very fresh, and not very well-shapen; presentation overall was poor compared to many smaller, less expensive sushi places in the area. Most of the nigiri pieces looked and tasted old. Portions are small and prices are high, as one would expect at a high-quality place, but the quality just isn’t there. I won’t be returning.
