Soul of Afrika was a really nice place to eat, with flavorful food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were especially helpful, they checked in on us, asked if we needed any help, and were genuinely kind, which made the whole experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, it was just a nice place to be, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Absolutely loved everything. Visited Vegas from DC and honestly was not expecting much. We actually visited Nigeria Cuisine first and had a horrible experience then came here. The difference was CLEAR!!!!! The place is cozy and inviting and cleannnn. The service is great and did I mention the place is clean? Okay. Now to the food, I wasn’t expecting much as I previously mentioned, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was a solid 9/10 and generous with the goat meat. Loved every bite as shown in the picture attached. Clean plate club. We are so happy especially after the nonsense experience we had at Nigerian Cuisine. I highly recommend – this is the standard we need to support and uphold!

We got the stew and rice/ chicken and the jollof rice/catfish. Little gem of a spot. Boyfriend said it almost tasted like Dad’s growing up and was so happy and full on just half the stew plate.. !! So happy and can’t wait to come back and get more and then some!! It all tastes RIGHT. When you walk in and the smell/atmosphere, we want to stay and eat next time. Thankyou guys for an amazing lunch/dinner!!!

I wanted to love this place. I understand this isn’t Ghanian food, but a soup isn’t meant to have the texture of stew. We didn’t get something we ordered. Spent over 200 dollars, and the family we brought here was definitely not impressed. I ordered jollof rice and beef, and there was barely any meat. It was a huge bone and tons of fat. I’m so disappointed. Our server was nice and definitely tried. As soon as we sat down, it was so dark that the kids were scared. Thankfully, someone turned on some lights. My jollof rice did taste okay. I don’t like to write anything but 5 star reviews because I know some days aren’t good days, but I felt I needed to share.

Also, they have none of the appetizers on the menu or a kids menu. I wish I had known that before we drove and ubered all of us over.

Great customer service.

But..

Food is overpriced.

You guys charge $6 for malt. Seriously? And $2 for tiny bottle of water.
Your egusi soup with fufu is $27 which is way overpriced. Your Egusi soup was tasty but lacking good seasoning. Your meat was tasteless.

Your restaurant location is in Las Vegas not in NYC, ATL, Seattle, Miami or San Francisco. Make it affordable for everyone just like the hotels around you in Vegas.

They gave me old and stale Mac and cheese and as soon as I removed the plastic from the egusi soup it immediately stunk! The oxtails looked old and had a lot of fat on them I’m just highly disappointed. I should’ve took heed to the previous bad reviews I seen but I also saw some good ones too now you know don’t waste your money here they don’t care about their customers.

For the first time of trying this dish, their Tilapia Egusi is just wow, just a disclaimer that there’s a lot of bones in the fish but yeah I love it

I had a combination of oxtail and goat pepper soup, along with a side of sweet plantains. As a Jamaican, this meal warms my heart, and I find myself dancing while I eat. Additionally, the restaurant is beautifully decorated and can be used for various events.

Worst place right now to buy Nigerian food and I say as a customer that has been supporting it for years. Over priced with little value to go with it, never again! You all show study Mama Put and learn from them, especially when it comes to quality and service
