We walked in and instantly greeted.
This place is clean, organized, delicious, & drinks stayed full.
The tortillas are fresh and fluffy.
The waitress was very kind.
We ordered plates but noticed most people came in for the buffet they have.
Chips and salsa were great as well.
Will definitely come back.

Excellent small town Café with quick and friendly service. I had the breakfast supreme burrito with eggs, potatoes, cheese, ham, bacon, and sausage. The burrito was good but the salsa Verde really kicked it up a notch. Absolutely give this place a try!

I just stopped in for the first time. I was looking for a quick burrito Togo. It’s not on the menu so they whipped something up for me. I stopped in the next morning because I left my debit card, and wanted a breakfast burrito anyway. I’m always looking for a good breakfast burrito spot. I already tried one place in godley and it wasn’t really good. This burrito at Carmen’s is worth going back to. It will be my new burrito spot in the mornings. Great service, great breakfast burrito.

An old hole-in-the-wall cafe serving Mexican dishes and some American fare. The enchiladas were perfect, homemade whole chicken—beware of bones—with ample cheese. The beans were good but dry. Very nice staff. But they need to fix the kitchen exhaust system; the place got smoky!

Some of the worst food I’ve eaten. The sour cream chicken enchiladas were made with cream of chicken, maybe? They were very salty. The chicken did not taste right. The cheese they use is out of a can. My husband saw them get meat off of the lunch buffet area, not sure how safe that is considering it was 5:30pm. The chili relleno was burnt. My guacamole had the end of the the pedicel from the avocado. The salsa was the best thing. We got 2 to-go drinks, which were $8 (crazy). There was no one eating at the restaurant, we were the only ones in there. We should have known, we should have ran. We will never eat at this place again.

Had high hopes for this local establishment after reading other reviews. We went on a Saturday after lunch. 20 minute wait at table before order was taken. Chips and queso brought out at same time as meal. Queso consistency was like water. Salsa is flavorless. The crunchy taco was great! The cheese enchiladas were fair. No chicken enchiladas. No charro beans. Rice was good. Drinks are huge. That was a plus. Servers were friendly but overwhelmed. Wish I could say more about this location but I would go across the street next time in the area.

We stumbled onto this gem in downtown Godley and we were so glad we did. First of all, the service was top notch. Recommendations were great, cups never ran low, food was delivered super fast, and chip baskets were always full. Now for the food … Huge portions and delicious. My breakfast burrito was loaded with deliciousness, Chicken fried steak was tender and breaded to perfection, Rice and beans were amazing, tacos stuffed to the brim and the fajitas were full of flavor and fall apart delicious. To top it all off, the salsa, both red and green, was amazing. The next time we come through Godley, we’ll be sure to make Carmen’s Cafe a priority stop!

Small town feel with great breakfast. I literally eat here several times a week no questions asked just great food and great people. Must stop! And the dirty water (DR PEPPER) is the number one best! Feel free to ask for the wonderful Ms. Mercedes.
