I had a feeling I was going to like the place the moment I walked in. I was born in NJ but have lived away for many years and I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the most New Jersey-ish Italians I had been around in a while.
I thought it was a place where you ordered at the counter but one of the staff invited us to sit down and said he would take our order at the table. They have a very big menu with a lot of options, something for every italian lol. I couldn’t help ordering some garlic bread because it was just $5 and it was literally the size of my head. Very good, did not disappoint. Overall I found prices to be very reasonable.
I split a Margherita pizza with my Aunt and it was piping hot when it came out of the oven. Also tasted very good.
They don’t have any fountain drinks or tap water, you have to grab any drink from a drink fridge which I think was the only disappointment. It’s a causal place, they had some TVs on in the restaurant and they also have some seating outdoors.
Two single bathrooms, one for each gender. Not a place where I think you’ll find a ton of vegan options.

I had a great time at Italian pizzaria. The fried calamari was crispy and delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The place was clean and cozy, and I felt very welcome. I would definitely go back and try more dishes. This is a must-try for anyone who loves Italian food.

First time ordering here but this is my buddy’s favorite pizza spot. Decided to try the Fra Diavolo Piccante pizza as I like spicy food. Wow I’ve never had a pizza like this but really enjoyed it; yellow onions are a nice touch, would have liked even more. It actually was spicy, packed a lot of heat! Their plain, pepperoni and sausage pies also looked really good. If you know, you know. Seemed like all of their pies were thin crust style though so less filling.

I ordered an Italian sandwich the one with prosciutto sopressata added ham and it comes with provolone The people that answer the phone barely speak English. The sandwich came. There’s one slice of each meat a ton of lettuce on a very large role. I called for them to take it back. They will not take it back. I have an have never seen a place with a hoagie roll for three slices of meat, and one slice of cheese, ever spoke to the people in order from in my lifetime. PASS the prosciutto. I took one bite and spit it out. It is spoiled prosciutto. Disgusting.

Asked for lightly cooked..they understood the assignment. Tried a few places in the area, this is the best in my opinion. Cooked just how I like it.

We ordered delivery from here and were told it would be here in about 45 minutes. After an hour I called to check on the food and they said it would be here soon. Another hour passed and I called again and was told that they tried to deliver the food but the phone number didn’t work and “no one was home”. We were home the whole time waiting for our dinner. They said they could remake our food and deliver it, but after already waiting two hours we decided to give up on them. Won’t order again.

To say this place has gone belly up would be an understatement. Which is sad because there was a time where the staff were very friendly and the food was good.
Now it seems every time I go there, I am disappointed and depressed. Hardly anyone is in there now and for good reason. The food has become terribly bland and the staff legit do not care. Even if you were to order a slice, it’ll come out molten hot and flavorless.
After having gotten food poisoning from their rancid pasta TWICE, I can safely say Bella Riva has become a real toxic dump.
If by some chance you’re in the area, please, save your money and go somewhere else.
Hell, I’d even recommend Olive Garden over this pathetic excuse for Italian.
The sooner this place goes out of business, the better.
