We had our there on October 11th 2025. The food was horrific and terrible. Words cannot express how bad it was. The Mashed potatoes were smoky/burnt and so was the gravy. The chicken was not cooked all the way and was served undercooked. The ham was a spiral ham and was sliced too thin that made it dry. During the tasting I had asked for them to use a pit ham, not a grocery store spiral ham. The only item that was ok was the corn.
Some tables waited for their food for over 20 min between them serving the vegetables and potatoes that were served. The food was not hot or even warm. Very little dressing and gravy was sent out to the tables. I actually had the DJ and the Photographer comment to me how bad the food was. I can keep going on, but it ticks me off.
I had to go to each table apologizing for the food and the service. Believe it or not, this place came highly recommended to us to book and event!
I would never book a hall or food with this business ever again. Nor will I send anyone there to book a function especially if they are looking for food. Ibwould have given a negative review, but it will not let me.
I would have been better off ordering food from Kentucky Fried Chicked down the street.

My Husband and I used the labor temple banquet hall to hold our wedding reception. It was the perfect place to hold our guests (almost 300) and the food was great! Dana was awesome with helping us plan things out and got back to us very quickly with any questions that came up.

Great bar for wausau! I see lots of bad reviews from old employees.. boyfriends of ex employees.. ex patrons etc.. typical behavior from the ones causing the problems.. but now that the trash has taken itself out because management DOES care and won’t stand for the behavior the business itself gets trashed.. only bar in the whole town worth going to! Dana is great and has been doing an amazing job the 20ish years she’s been there! Highly recommend labor temple and the pizza is amazing!

I am highly disappointed in the service, mainly the long greasy hair bartender. Had to wait over an hour for food after we were told it would be 20 minutes. My husband was treated horrible, was questioned if we even placed an order & was ignored until the bartender went in the kitchen & found the ticket with our order than the bartender acted like it was a huge chore to write down the order again & made my husband wait again for another 45 minutes for our food. Again completely ignored my husband & i watched as multiple customers walked out for the same exact reason. No apology, no it was an honest mistake. Just extremely rude & i will NOT be ordering from here again, which is sad because i enjoy the food. The bartender has no business being behind a bar with his attitude & complete lack of customer service. Do better or find a different job.

I am a taxi driver in town and I’ve picked up a few patrons from here and everyone is so friendly and the bartender appreciates are cabby’s so much for getting there patrons home safely. One bartender even offered me a soda for being there too take care of his customers. I that was really sweet.

I love this place!
First, they make their own homemade pizzas!
Absolutely delicious.
Their fish fry is one of my favorites too.
I have also used the banquet hall and have attended work and Union meetings in the rooms throughout the building.
Dana, Randy and the other staff and board members, work very hard to keep this historic Wausau building and establishment very active.
