We have made this place our annual mother/daughter outing for me and my wife’s mothers. This is our second year. After we eat here, we drive to Salt Creek Casino to end the evening with some gambling. This steakhouse never disappoints HOWEVER: I noticed that the beans that are normally cooked were just canned chili beans this time. Were they always this way and we never noticed before? I’ve been here at least 6 times before and always looked forward to those delicious beans. I was almost disappointed this time. But I didn’t let it ruin my evening with my mother, mother in law, and wife. Absolutely everything else was wonderful! The steaks were fat and juicy, the brisket was smoked to perfection, and the rest of the salad bar was a cool crisp break before the very carnivorous main course! The staff is always friendly and helpful. We will be back for the 3rd annual mother/daughter gathering.

My brother took me here for the first time while we were on a visit and it’s a mom and pop kind of place atmosphere. Been open since 1985 . Very popular if you’re not there when it opens you will be standing in line for a while. It’s the first place I’ve ever been where they serve you four ribs instead of bread rolls for free. We had prime rib which had very good flavor. Two of the dinners were ribs and they said that was good. The other dinner was a brisket and she like that. They also have a small salad bar. If I lived in the area I would definitely go back. prices were average for for what you got actually.

I ordered 5 rib plate with added slice brisket. The ribs were chewy and the brisket was dry. Salad bar is limited on ingredients. Im sorry to say I didn’t enjoy the food but, the service is good, and the sweet tea is good. I had a buddy with me that agreed the brisket was dry but his 12oz sirloin was cooked right and had good flavor. Maybe ill try the steak if I return. Sorry.

Thourghly enjoyed our 1st visit. Steaks were wonderful and the salad bar was so fresh and delicious
Honey and butter on the toast made a fun yummy dessert.

Drove 45 minutes to come here. We got seated by the hostess. 25 minutes later the only thing we got was the free ribs from the food runner. No waitress, no service. No drinks. Nothing at all. All while four tables right behind, and beside us were immediately sat and served by a waitress. They had their salads and drinks and we had not even been approached by a waitress. Will never recommend or go there again.

First time here. Food and service were amazing. This is worth a drive from the city. This meal would easily have been 3x the cost for what we paid. Absolutely would recommend and now will be a regular place we visit. Sirloin tasted delicious. Prime rib was delicious and melted in your mouth. Ribs as an appetizer were some of the best tasting ribs I have ever had.

My wife and I heard rumors of an awesome no-frills steakhouse in Amber, Oklahoma that has some of the best steak in Oklahoma. We took a spring break drive an hour away to try it. We were apprehensive when we saw the outside, but once we got in we were welcomed as if we were family. The food was amazing! The prices were good considering the quality of food. We will definitely swing through next time we have time!

The steak was good, but not great. Sadly there were no sides that weren’t fried unless you count the salad bar. There was a very long line to be seated. Our waitress was the best thing about the whole experience. The worst however was how dark and dirty the restaurant was. It had been over 25 years since I had been to Ken’s. I was so disappointed.

I have been to Ken’s almost every time I am in Oklahoma. It’s an hour drive from Norman on average, but we go because they make the tastiest rare steak around. It’s not fancier or trendier it’s just better. The 12 oz sirloin is under $26 and tastes better than the $50 porterhouse you get from the more well known establishments in OKC. The salad bar is a collection of basic salad veggies and a chunk of cheese. Basic, but good and fresh. The salad bar is also the home of always cooked perfectly fried okra. Never woody. Never slimy. I have probably made the trek to Ken’s 20 or more times, and have never found a better steak out, or a better value. Don’t skip on the toast and ask the wait staff about the honey bear before you eat it.

Ken’s Steak and Ribs is always a great stop for some solid BBQ! The food never disappoints, and the salad bar—with that classic block of cheese—is always a treat. We split the sausage and a baked potato and still left completely full. The place is always busy, which tells you everything you need to know. Great food, good atmosphere, and a true Oklahoma classic.
