First time in, and the staff was very accommodating! They immediately took our order and came back to chat and check up on us. It felt like a home or family environment than your average restaurant.
Don’t get me started on the food! I love Flounder, and their fish was fried to crispy perfection. My friend got the all you can eat pintos be a it’s Wednesday. I will definitely be back again to try more of the menu.

The “chili burger” is a manwich sloppy joe with a frozen meatball. Everything was over salted. We asked for unsweet tea but she kept bringing sweet tea. They do not skimp on sugar for the tea. The cashier/waitress spent a good bit of our visit in our faces, talking over our food, not allowing us to *enjoy* our meal in peace. There were 2 other customers the whole time we were there. Seems like the locals know what’s up. The building is stale and humid.
Don’t waste your money.

I stopped in here today since I was in the area and saw the Food Network review which had me intrigued. It was absolutely worth the stop. The chili burgers were fantastic and different. The service was also great. They were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was as expected. We ordered the plates, meaning fries were included. 3 plates, waters and a side of pintos was $44. That seemed a little high. But honestly I didn’t look at a menu or prices and don’t regret going. It was an experience and I enjoyed it.

Stopped here passing thru on the way to Greenville. Had a taste for a hot dog so ordered the special. I thought they would be grilled and it would take a lil min for my food to be fixed. No sooner had I ordered my plate was in front of me. Bland, boiled flavorless dogs that I didn’t notice were sitting in hot water when I walked in, or else I wouldn’t have ordered them. Fries were hot and crispy but no seasoning. Sweet tea was delish though so that’s a plus.

Wow! That’s all we can say! We hit this restaurant on Pinto Bean Wednesday! The service of the staff was warm and friendly. Our pinto beans arrived hot and savory! Please visit this old school, down home cooking place where you can enjoy real home cooking in a friendly atmosphere! We echo what Guy Fieri on DDD stated there is nothing fake or canned in this place! Made from scratch! Hats off to Tony Lipscomb and his friendly, hardworking staff!

The food is just okay but the place is pretty cool. The price is super cheap. Too bad Gaffney downtown is really run down.

I see the billboards every time I drive down I-85 in the Upstate, so decided to make a visit.
Not a bad little place. Certainly a throwback diner to a simpler time. Located in downtown Gaffney, it serves your basic dogs and burgers along with soups, all-you-can-eat pintos on Wednesdays, chow chow, BLTs, bologna sandwiches, wings, etc.
Had the chili dogs. Chili was certainly meaty, but a tiny bit sweet that won’t be to everyone’s liking.
Charming place. Kind service and worth your time.

There were some pluses, like great service and some decent menu items (fries and chicken tenders). However I have some criticisms about this place as well. The large chicken club was said to come with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles, but it came without cheese or pickles. The coleslaw was entirely too vinegary, hard to eat more than a few bites. And their famous chili was bland and not worth the hype in my opinion. It tasted like manwich but with no flavor and chunks of dry meat. Overall it wasn’t terrible, but was lacking in several areas.
*edit: also note that the online menu is outdated, they have indeed raised their prices. this isn’t a criticism just be aware the prices have basically doubled*
