I’m blown away by how delicious this pizza is. I came by months ago as I was curious to try pizza from around this area and the place showed great reviews, but honestly I was thrown off a little bit because the restaurant appeared small and hidden…next to a gas station never seemed appealing to me so I went to a different pizza joint nearby with good reviews.
Finally tried pepperoni and cheese pizza from here (Desi) and I was most pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. It does have a unique taste that seems familiar and Indian based. I recently have tried Indian food and I gotta say that I’ve missed out all these 48 years lol. I grew up eating primarily Mexican food at home, sometimes we’d eat pizza or Chinese…there were no Indian cuisines around Turlock. Food was simple and delicious, and I was not one to try new foods.
Fast forward a few decades and now I love trying different foods…it’s a whole new world. Anyway, pizza is my all time favorite food and I gotta say that Desi’s Pizza truly has a beautiful thing going on here with its pizza.
I love pepperoni and sometimes I ask for extra pepperoni depending on which pizza place it is, same with the cheese. I was slightly bummed by the amount of pepperoni I seen on my pizza here, but I grabbed a slice in the car and went about my business and I was shocked at how super amazing the pepperoni tasted…each pepperoni has such an intense flavor that it’s almost like one slice of Desi’s pepperoni is equal to three slices of another pizza, so I can see why there is less pepperoni slices than what I’ve seen on my pizza from other restaurants.
Moving on, what’s insane is the amount of cheese they load onto these glorious pizzas…it’s the perfect amount if you anything like this big cheese fan. I loved it!
Also, the sauce is fantastic! I totally did not expect it to taste so good. I pushed back some of the toppings and put it on top of the crust as this is what I’m accustomed to when eating pizza…saving the best bite for the last. Hehehe
Anyway, I’ve never tasted pizza sauce like that. There is definitely a masterpiece mindset behind that flavorful sauce, and it reminds me of an Indian cuisine type of dish. I don’t normally ask for extra sauce in my pizza as I’m not that crazy about pizza sauce, although totally necessary. I actually will ask for extra sauce the next time I order Desi’s pizza because it is just that good…I want more! The funny thing is that I didn’t notice the unique taste in the sauce until I took my fourth bite of my first slice since I pushed back the toppings and all I got was the bread and sauce , wow! I enjoy the first few bites of pizza with the toppings, and sometimes I’ll just tear out the bread from that point and only keep the crispy crust with the pushed back toppings for a grand finish. I don’t think I’ll be doing that with such a tasty sauce…too good to let it go to waste. I guess there is more to enjoy now. Yum, thanks Desi’s Pizza Bites!
I wish this place was in Turlock so that I could take some home and share it with my daughter and her company while it’s fresh.
What once seemed small and not so appealing turned out to pack a big punch. The space and seating area is spacious and accommodating, it’s clean and well maintained. Nice menu. Friendly customer service. Oh yeah, and they sell Coke drinks with a thumbs up on the can and I’ve never seen one like that so I tried it…delicious, it has a hint of ginger I think, but it’s not overpowering the classic taste of Coke. What a nice treat.
Anyway, this is my new favorite pizza. What a blessing ❤️

Hands down the best pepperoni pizza within 100 miles. My wife and I Really like this lil place to play pool or watch the game on 10 different tvs lol. Only thing missing is a pitcher of beer and you can’t beat Dessi Pizza Bites

I came from Los Angeles to visit Sacramento with my girlfriend and stayed in Lathrop for one night near to desi pizza, so we ordered all meats and achiri pizzas from them which were beyond my expectations. I recommend their pizza to all of you as it is the best in all of California.

All in all was very good food and service. There pizza sizes are smaller then an actual size pizza but all on all it’s very good pizza.

1. Amazing Pizza Crust. We ordered half and half veggie and chilly paneer.
2. Desi Sticks was nice as well , came with pineapple on top which I love.
3. Spacious , definitely can enjoy family dinner.

I grabbed dinner at this pizza spot a couple nights ago after work, and it turned out to be a pretty good choice. The crust had that nice mix of chewy and crispy, and the sauce tasted fresh, not overly salty like some places. I tried their veggie slice and it was actually better than I expected. The staff seemed a bit busy but they were still polite and got my order right. The place isn’t super fancy, but it’s clean and has a chill vibe. Prices were fair too, so I wouldn’t mind coming back when I’m craving pizza again.
