I was super excited to find this place! I think I’ve seen this place listed as China Place, and I’m glad it showed up on google as Taiwan place. Taiwanese food is unique in it’s complexity and history of different ingredients and cooking styles from it’s history of colonialism.

I got Oyster Omelette and Taiwanese Meatball (bawan), #1 and #2. The Taiwanese meatball is delicious, and full of the correct ratios of meat and bamboo. It’s a tapioca wrap with fillings!

The Oyster Omelette tasted good too, with a sweet orange red tangy sauce. I don’t know the name of this sauce, but it’s authentic to my time in Taiwan. There was a good amount of oysters in the omelette! The difference was there was more vegetables in it than I expected.
Overall, I wish this place was closer to me and that they were more people visiting this place! From what I’ve had so far, it’s pretty authentic food. I was concerned about the menu being large and the freshness of the ingredients; since it seems like the restaurant is not very busy, but that was not an issue at all.

The place is take out only!

We walked in and walked out! So we were guided to go here by google maps after searching “Chinese food” on the map…it seemed promising.

We arrive, no sign or anything to confirm so we walked into the bowling alley and instantly, it smelled like bowling alley and Chinese food…first red flag. Next, we walk in and we are like hmm…where is the food and like are we even in the right place?!

We see the counter and the women says she can only accommodate take out and the menu was super limited. No thanks we left. The photos seemed to show something more.

Great food and service! This place could use some TLC though, it looks like it has seen better days. Hopefully more People come here. Would recommend!
P.S. the photos shown were taken at the Asbury park dog beach, not at the site of the restaurant.

Surprisingly good (southern)Taiwanese food! Pork rib over rice, and thickened pork soup tastes authentic and brings me right back home! Waiting to try more items on the menu!

It is a take out only restaurant behind a bowling ally and inside an appearly closed down Chinese restaurant. Wait time is long, better call ahead and order. Food tastes authentic. Price is good.

I love this place, authentic Taiwanese food only 10 minutes away. Take out only, have come here many times. The beef noodle soup is fantastic, both the spicy braised beef soup and “Vietnamese style”. The pickled and thickened soups are very good as well. San Bei Ji (Three Cup Chicken) is one of my favorite dishes and the version here is pretty good. The prices are very reasonable. Yes, the food is sold out the back of a bowling alley. Don’t mind that, it’s great takeout and I’m glad they’ve stayed open after the pandemic. Hours posted on Google are off – I think they open at 5 pm.

Taiwan place is close to my home so I can take a breakfast or lunch when I need it. Pickled and thickened soups are good in rainy days. Best start of the week.

Really tasty food! Love, love, love this place.

Fyi, the sign for the restaurant says “China Place” and you have to pick up the food at the bar in the bowling alley.
