Ordered the sesame chicken to go, it was dry and tasted old, and then I bit into an open metal staple. Safe to say I won’t be ordering from here again, they could have sent someone to the hospital.

It is delicious. I am not lover of Chinese food, but this one, absolutely loved it. I will come back more often

For Asian-American fare, I was pleased. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken lunch. The breading wasn’t overwhelming, the chicken ratio wasn’t disappointing, and the sauce met expectations for consistency and flavor. It didn’t blow my mind, but it was tasty. It included fried rice and vegetables. I was surprised an egg roll was added. I was too full to eat it, however. Food was plenty.
I did not check on the quality of the ingredients or whether this restaurant uses MSG, artificial colors or flavors, emulsifiers, preservatives, GMOs, or anything else.
I’m judging strictly from presentation, quantity, relative freshness, and flavor, and what you would expect for standard asian-american fare.

Nice atmosphere, the servers were very friendly and attentive. The Pork Blood, Beef Stomach and Soybean Sprout Stew wasn’t for me personally, but still tasted very good, and the Ox Tongue with Tripe Chili Sauce was amazing.

The only slight criticism I have is that the portion sizes are ludicrously huge. Seriously, if you’re thinking of eating here, bring some friends because a bowl of that stew could feed a family of 6.

Everything seems wonderful but a part of the menu just doesn’t work anymore, which is a problem if you’ve already eaten something from the menu and it’s always out. I ordered something simple, American Chinese food, the sasame chicken and a sour & sweet chicken, looks amazing but the chicken was tasting just so bad, no real flavor and the chicken was bad quality, bad at the point that in the first bite we didn’t wanted anymore. So we paid around $45 for both meals and throw it in the garbage.

The braised pork tasted very salty and was definitely below average.
We ordered the braised pork. It was very different from the picture on the menu. Too much soy sauce.
When we told them our review at checkout, the first thing they did was not to apologize but to blame us for not telling them earlier. I am not looking for compensation, but for a sincere apology from them. Not even a “sorry” in the end.

Stopped by here for a quick bite. The service was really fast and we were greeted and seated almost immediately.

The place has nothing special to it decor-wise. Wouldn’t say it’s a fancy place or anything. Most of the other patrons seemed to be college students. I was there with some old college friends and family. Great atmosphere to just catch up over food.

The menu seemed to have more authentic Chinese food rather than focus on the Americanized things like Crab ragoons and orange chicken. They had bull frogs, duck, and other options. Very nice selection. And very fairly priced.

I had the Mongolian beef. We also got country style pork and beef fried rice. All were generously portioned enough to share. The food tasted great and I will definitely be going back.

Overall
If you’re looking for good Chinese food location, this is a great spot. Beware their food isn’t exactly like the typical Chinese-American restaurant (but they do have those options too). Not a place that would impress a date on the first night. But definitely would be great to go with friends. Only down side was we never got water refills.

Great food with competitive price in a downtown area. Ambiance was nice, got complimentary cake as well.

Having lived in China for long time, I can definitely say the taste was authentic. We tried spicy fish and pepper chicken, both were delicious. However, the food is heavy on wallet!!!

Perfect location in the heart of Madison’s “Shopping District.” There was a street festival going on yet we were the only ones inside. (Which may be why the service was so fast but I digress.) Huge menu, everyone should be able to find something they like whether they’re picky or looking to try something new. Did have to walk a block or so and pay for metered parking, which was worth it to experience the community of Madison. Loved it.
