Best tacos in Harlingen!! The carnita is soo good and soft and they pack the taco. The papa is super good too get it with bistec. Best recommendation from TikTok and fb!

I feel Los Compadres Restaurant is underrated and deserve a little love. I had passed by from time to time but never made it in. My Comadre invited us one time and we are hooked. My favorite are the carne asada tacos. They have really good food. Both breakfast and tacos.

I gotta be honest, disgusting. The tacos were dipped in a fryer with old oil, you can taste the burnt old oil and they were soggy. I ordered 2 of Bistec, very bland,
2 of Tripa, soft as heck, and bland, and 2 of troppo, very bland. I had to throw lime and plenty salsa to kill the old oil taste.
The baked potato was also bland, not even enough butter to flavor it. The beans very clear, could have seasoned and thicker up the juice. And the green salsa, BLAND AS WELL! The restaurant also smelled and had no music, just a novela playing on the T.V and the patio had the lights turned off, no music of course.
I don’t like negative reviews but I have to be honest. First and last time.

wonderful tacos, excellent service, open late. Server only spoke Spanish but we managed to communicate with good humor. This seems like a hidden gem. Covered outdoor seating available.

Excellent little spot to hit up. You can eat in your car or outdoor seating area. Enjoy some delicious street tacos stuffed with meat. I personally like them with lots of red sauce. Can’t wait to come back!
