We, husband and i ate here for our 55th wedding anniversary on 25th September and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and we were talked through the menu by the lovely lady who served us. The atmosphere was quiet and we could chat to each other as the music was just background effect. Delicate and smooth, a truly heart-warming meal: we had a portion of spicy king prawns with rice, and some lentil curry with garlic naan.

We ordered take away, estimated time of delivery was 9:30 but they delivered at 10:25 to begin with.
We ordered a Briyani, kheema Naan and tandoori chicken. The Naan was burnt with no stuffing inside, the Briyani was one the worst with not even a pinch of salt or any taste in it. It just had oil and ghee in the rice. We ordered a tandoori chicken and we got the gravy with 4-5 chicken pieces in it which was not cooked even.
A very bad experience and would not recommend it at all.

Delicious food prepared in a very authentic manner. Served by a very friendly polite and helpful lady. The restaurant was clean and tidy.
We had biryani and it came in a ceramic pot known as a dum. The top was sealed with some dough and so the lovely flavours captured perfectly.
The side dishes were also very tasty.
Everything was lovely.
The atmosphere was pleasant but sadly for Friday evening it was very quiet. I think because it is not on a busy main street. I hope it normally is much busier.

Superb Indian food, if a little spicy. Located in a quiet side street in Dumfries. Not the largest menu to select from but what is offered is of top quality. Lovely ambiance to the place as well. Best curry so far we’ve had in Scotland.

We had a lovely dinner here last night! We left it very late to find somewhere to eat and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. There was great vegan options on the menu too 🙂 I noticed another review about the vegan dishes including dairy. We didn’t find this. Would recommend if you’re looking for kind service and tasty food!

Probably one of the best curry houses I’ve been to! Quick service, I liked the selection of Indian songs that sound ready to just burst the hell out into Knight Rider at any moment. – would definitely visit again.

This restaurants food is a little different from standard Indian restaurants so be prepared for that. The menu isn’t as extensive as most but I think that goes to its authenticity. The flavours are a little different as well. Our group really enjoyed our meals which was served by very friendly staff. The premises look a bit tired and would benefit from a refresh but don’t let that put you off. We’ll worth a visit.
