On a Friday lunch time, we were the only table for dine in. I was surprised. Food is average, I like the beef in the beef noodle soup. It was tender and flavorful. The broth was lacking flavor tho, tasted like soy source. Price is decent.

I ordered hot and sour soup, orange chicken and vegetable lo mein noodles. Everything was delicious. Service was friendly and quick. I wish my Ohio hometown Chinese spot was this good.

I was visiting NJ for the day and stopped by this little gem to grab some Chinese cuisine before heading back home and I must say I’m impressed. Staff is very friendly, place is clean and food is authentic and delicious! They have a huge variety of items on the menu for a good price and good portions. I ordered the pepper steak with onions, crab rangoon and sticky rice siu mai and everything was up to par and tasted amazing. I’m currently still thinking about the crab rangoon. Definitely will stop by to try other menu items when I’m in the area!

I visit Chef X for lunch at least once a week as part of my hybrid work routine. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and quiet, with neatly arranged tables that create a comfortable atmosphere. I usually order the Kung Pao chicken with white rice and a wonton soup—always delicious. The soup comes out piping hot, and the dish has a distinct blend of spice and aroma that sets it apart from other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried. Service is consistently fast and friendly, and there’s plenty of parking available.

I had a serious General Tso craving after a coworker sent me a photo of their lunch, so my partner and I decided to try Chef X since it was nearby and had great reviews.
We ordered a bunch of things, including the General Tso chicken, chicken and eggplant, scallion pancakes, Yung Cho fried rice, and a small hot and sour soup. Both the General Tso and the chicken and eggplant came with a large box of rice included, which is honestly pretty rare to find at Chinese places these days.
When we got our takeout home, we found that the restaurant had included a free chicken skewer appetizer! It was seasoned incredibly well and was such a nice surprise. I wish I had taken some photos, but everything smelled so good that we started eating right away before we even thought about “feeding” the camera.
The hot and sour soup was a bit on the milder side and not quite as sour as some others I’ve had, but all the other dishes tasted extremely good. We will definitely be returning here in the future!

The hot and sour soup was delicious and the egg rolls tasted good but could have been crispier. The general tso’s chicken had a soggy texture and the sauce tasted mostly of soy sauce. The triple pepper pork was a little bland.
