I never knew of “The Night Market” till I went to the mall (Pembroke) on Thurs evening. I grabbed a few bites from different food truck spots there. I figured I give my culture ( ) a try! With the name “Bendito” . I wanted to try so I ordered the chunk chicken dinner it came with salad and pigeon peas n rice. It was not to my likings at all. The chicken chunks tasted like it was fried in the same oil as pork. It was so salty . The rice n peas tasted like it came out of the burnt end of the pot. Even when you smelled the rice it smelt of burnt. That too was salty. (Suggestion) when serving salad on side we should at least get vinegaratte dressing or some type of oil/vinger base for the greens. It’s a NO for me.

The only thing I had the opportunity to try was the pastelillo de pizza and it was delicious! I can tell just from this treat that this is truly an authentic place. They make everything to order so make sure you have at least 5 minutes for the pastelillos and at least 15-20 for the good stuff! I cant wait to go back and try the entire rest of the menu.

I came here today to try this food because my husband is from Puerto Rico and we had always wanted to try this Puerto Rican food truck. I live about 30 minutes away and got here about 10 minutes before the opening time. I approached the table where you ordered the food I asked is it possible to order now at 4:50pm after standing there because no one even acknowledges that there’s a customer waiting and they told me no that I had to wait until 5pm another girl there was nice enough to at least offer me a menu. So I said no problem thank you i’ll go walk around and come back at 5. At 5 pm no one was in the line other than 3 ladies seating at a table. I said to the very rude lady at the register is ok for me to order now and her answer to me was you need to wait until I put in all the orders from take out and the people here and then I can take your order. I said I understand but i was here before and I was asked to come back at 5. She proceeded to look down at her papers and ignored me, I just stood there she had no interest in helping me as if i was there begging. She could have taken my order and I would of happily waited. They are very rude and disorganized, on their Instagram page they provide a phone where people supposedly can call or text and place an order but they never answer and text back. I will never give them my business.
